Johnson also stated he is protecting working families, but omitted how he has raised at least 17 taxes and fees including the Cloud Tax to 14%, making the levy on computer services the highest in the nation. Johnson also failed to mention his appointees on the Board of Education raised property taxes on residents by $752 million. Johnson claimed he intends to build 10,000 affordable housing units, but to date has built an around 500 at an average cost of about $700,000 per unit and vowed to continue reopening mental health clinics, though he has only reopened 3 in four years in office. Most important, Johnson failed to mention spending $639 million on illegal migrants, most of which has gone to provide over migrants 46,000 with housing. Sorry Mayor Johnson, you have not prioritized city residents and have helped make Chicago one of the “least safe and least affordable big cities in America.”
