Every relationship rests on an unwritten agreement unthinkingly concluded by lovers in the first weeks of their love. They are still in a kind of dream but at the same time, without knowing it, are drawing up, like uncompromising lawyers, the detailed clauses of their contract
Oh no! Probably my favorite author (though it’s been many years since I read his work and I had assume he died long ago) his wisdom about life and love always gave me pause.

I was privileged to visit @GorongosaPark in 2008 and saw how much Greg Carr and his local Mozambican partners were dedicated to reversing decades of destruction into a land of hope for animals and humans alike. Loved this update by @60minutes showing much they have achieved
Greg Carr committed over $100 million of his fortune revitalizing Gorongosa National Park. Over the years, the park reintroduced hundreds of animals and transformed the area into what Carr calls a “human rights park.” Scott Pelley reports, Sunday. 60Minutes.com

A person who modeled integrity and effectiveness, Jim Kolbe was a force of nature; he was a tremendously smart, passionate and dedicated public official. I am proud to have been one of his legion of friends. tucson.com/news/local/former… via @tucsonstar

I was sad to see the news on Michael Gerson’s passing, he wrote so beautifully after 9/11, and found myself scrolling through his WPost pieces, including this one that respectfully articulates why America is so divided, and why Trump is part of the problem washingtonpost.com/opinions/…

2) Also, if you haven’t heard his guest sermon at the at the National Cathedral, it’s worth a few minutes. His sharing of his battle with depression, and how he found hope, is one of the bravest you’ll ever hear. cathedral.org/sermons/sermon…
Random question: why is a mile a mile? Mille=1000 in Latin. Romans placed milestones along the empire roads every 1000 paces. 1 pace = 5 ft, so 1 mile = 5000 ft. Medieval English adjusted to a more familiar measure, furlong (8), and now we are stuck with 1 mile = 5,280 ft
Can someone explain to me #westworld season 4 before I give up on it once and for all ?
