The comeback was nice, but the reality is that Washington over its last 18 regular-season games now is 3-14-1 with a point differential of -168. This team is so far from what it should be in Season No. 3 of the Adam Peters/Dan Quinn regime. Unacceptable and inexcusable.

Here’s what I don’t get about Ukr-Rus: Where is the line on aid? None? Just send money in perpetuity? The West already sent more to Ukr than we sent Rus during land lease. The EU has sent 240 billion back to Rus since start of war. There’s no clear definition of a limit.
Numbers don't lie. Here is a compilation of data: how much aid the US and EU have provided to Ukraine, how much they have paid to purchase Russian fossil fuels. The EU’s cumulative purchases of Russian fossil fuels exceed its aid allocations to Ukraine by approximately €37.7 billion.

Well Humza, how do you reconcile child marriage, wife beating, clitorectomies and stoning women...with traditional English values Do you see a compromise ? Child marriage is OK if the girl is over ten, perhaps ? A meeting point, half way ? Stoning women only with pieces of wood ? Removing only half the clitoris ? Let's have some suggestions, please, Humza
Debate Islam all you want. Perfectly legitimate. That's not what you're doing. You're asserting that Muslims are not compatible with life in Britain and therefore do not belong here. That isn't debate, that is lighting the fuse and hoping others will throw the molotov cocktail.

Pretty good critique here. And I like Rubio. But the right has a bad habit of misinterpreting the classics.
Wrong. It is not thumos that is the heart of the greatest civilizations, but reason. And it is not the “struggle for distinction” that made the West, but the pursuit of the true and the good. It was this Socratic pursuit, not Spartan pride, that led the Church to embrace the achievements of the Greeks. As Plato warns in the Republic, to subordinate reason to thumos and the pursuit of truth to the pursuit of honor is the mark of timocracy, the first of the four corrupt types of polity and corrupt types of soul he identifies. Yet this is what many on the right today embrace, just as many on the left embrace the corrupt egalitarian and libertine tendencies Plato says are typical of democracy, another of the corrupt regimes he identifies. From the perspective of the tradition begun by Socrates and Plato, this timocratic strain of the right is not a cure for what ails the West any more than the woke left is, but simply another manifestation of the disease.

These are the morons emerging from the far right. Confidently incorrect. Hitler writes extensively declaring France the “eternal enemy” and how Germany needs to dominate the west before it turns east to avoid ww1 redux, and this dummy invents his own history instead
Do you even history bro? If Britain and France decided not to intervene on Poland's behalf, then Hitler focuses on going east like he originally planned. No need to invade Denmark and Norway, if there is no fear of Britain cutting off iron ore from Sweden. No need to invade Holland to get around the Maginot line if France isn't at war with you. Hell without the fall of France, Italy might not have even joined the axis powers. Japan doesn't move south to gobble up European colonies in southeast asia. And yeah maybe eastern europe ends up under the heel of Nazi Germany instead of the Soviet Union, would that have been worse? Maybe, maybe not, that depends on a number of factors, and how those next 50 years actually play out. Same with Asia, instead of a China ruled by Mao, you end up with one ruled by Imperial Japan. Is that worse? Maybe, then again maybe not. But the idea that the world created by the allied powers getting involved in WW2 is objectively better then the world that would have been if we had not is is far from certain.

Most nations, historically, would have annihilated Gaza after 10/7 - slaughtered every fighting man, destroyed every base of support for them, and pointed the broken survivors west to try to find mercy in Egypt. Today, we are expected to take media from the literal terror state which launched the war at face value, and blame the VICTIMS for a response which killed 2% of the aggressor's population. It almost cannot be over-stated how absurd this is. Prey morality, socialism, and similar philosophies are cancers based upon the exploitation of empathy - which spread through society like gray-green mold through bread, and occasionally must be cut out in the same way.
OCTOBER 7, 2023: SHE KNEW SHE WAS GOING TO DIE. Libi Cohen-Meguri, a 22-year-old infantry officer, went to the Nova music festival. She was shot while fleeing the party. At 8:11 a.m., she called her parents and said: “I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.” Calmly, quietly, she understood; these were the last minutes of her life. She asked her parents to call Tomer, her twin brother, and Maya, her little sister, and said: “I’m going to die. I just want you to listen to me. I love you, Yariv. You’re the best father I could have asked for. Mom, stop screaming. Just listen to me. You are the best mother we could have ever had. Don’t forget to be a good mother to Tomer and Maya after I die. Tomer, how lucky we were to live this life together. I love you. My Maya, never forget—you are the treasure of my life.” When she finished speaking, her parents told her to get out of the car, lie down on the road, and pretend to be dead. With her last bit of strength, she got out of the car and laid down on the road. “Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again,” Libi said after lying down. While her mother listened on the phone, shouts in Arabic could be heard, and then a barrage of gunfire. It didn’t stop. It kept going, until the call was disconnected. And that’s how Libi died—with demonic beasts from the pit of hell standing over her and emptying a full magazine into her body. Libi died with LOVE on her lips: love for life, love for her family, and love for her people. Her memory will forever be a blessing. NEVER FORGET. NEVER FORGIVE. NEVER AGAIN IS NOW. Israel is hunting down every single Palestinian and Hamas terrorist who participated in the October 7th Massacre—to kill them all. They’re living on “borrowed time,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said. Sooner or later, every one of these monsters will be found and eliminated.

Men over 30 have developed Peter Pan syndrome at a higher number than ever before. My friends and I have noticed a similar pattern. They’ll find a girl who presents as the ideal woman: she’s wifey. She’s beautiful, sweet, intelligent, a good cook. She cares for him when he’s sick. She encourages him to be the best version of himself. He’ll tell her this is what he wants, she’s what he wants. She checks off all the boxes. But something is missing, he pulls away. And when he does, she will go against her feminine and chase him. Because good ones are so hard to find these days. He will lead her on, make her think it’s going somewhere. And eventually chicken out. A few days later, she’ll send a paragraph. The biggest crisis in America is not the declining birth rate, but the part that comes before it. Men are unwilling and unable to commit to good women. The American dream is inconceivable without the American family. And the American family is impossible without a strong partnership.

Depicting a woman being in love with a man is probably one of the most taboo things in our current society Think of what they did to Chani in Dune, they can leave in the killing, drugs, and orientalism, but they had to cut her loving Paul out

Do you know what the most destructive force in human history is? It isn’t a weapon or an army. It’s young men with nothing to live for. And today's most "acceptably" maligned cohort happens to be young white men. Every civilization that forgot how to give its young men purpose eventually met them on the battlefield. Every single empire that scorned its sons ended the same way. When men are denied purpose, mocked for their instincts, priced out of homes, shut out of marriage, and treated as expendable, they eventually stop protecting the system that rejected them. These are the men who rally to strong voices. They march behind banners promising righteous belonging. And when they move, the world moves with them. A society that mocks masculinity is a society playing with fire. Young men are not inherently violent. They are VITAL. Whether they build cathedrals or burn cities depends entirely on whether the civilization that raised them still deserves their loyalty. TLDR. The lesson is to respect your sons. Or you’ll one day meet them as Soldiers. Don't take it up with me and get angry. Take it up with history.

Europe has been vassals of the United States since 1945. But because America was reluctant to be an empire, we were willing to pretend we weren’t the overlord and allowed Europe to pretend they’re not vassals. But you abused that privilege for far too long so now we’re dropping the pretense. We are Rome. And you’re the Greeks we conquered. We will always respect you for the culture and heritage you brought to us, but you are not and never will be anything but our vassal.
Replying to @RnaudBertrand
Probably one of the sadder and more pathetic storylines so far this century: western and northern Europe giving up all pretense that they’re sovereign nations capable of self determination. They’re spineless vassals, and they’re making the continent increasingly irrelevant.

Maybe the idea here is to detach us from the authentic so completely that we will no longer recognize it and thereby cease to expect it, even decent imitations of it, thus smoothing the full transition to the robotic.

An absurd situation. Biggest match of tournament until semis and it ends at 330 am on a Wednesday morning. USO organizers have generally done a horrible job this year.
Remember when we used to complain about World Series games that started at 9pm? Waking up to find out that one of the best matches in American male tennis in the last 20 years ended at 3:33 am…and that the match was in the US is beyond inexcusable for this sport.

• Daily work after the wedding ends • Responsibility, bills, and pressure • Two imperfect people learning to live together .Arguing and disagreeing oftenly • Choosing each other on the hard days • Seasons of love mixed with seasons of struggle • A partnership that only survives through effort and respect Most people think marriage is just a bed roses and they forget that roses have thorns that can draw blood. Its not easy the way people say it.

Progressives thought they were on the right side of history. When they wake up to the reality that their policies resulted in the sterilization of children, the killing of mentally ill addicts, the decimation of education, and more, they will be horrified.
