Today, PMC seals 36 PGs/Coachings for non-compliance. The action will continue till each and every defaulter is identified. They will reopen only after being 100% compliant with all the rules . Students’ safety cannot be compromised.

PMC vehemently targets all the illegal PGs n Coachings. Today we sealed 11 such places. The purpose is to ensure fire safety, structural strength and rule compliance. From tomorrow, this will be done more aggressively in the entire city.

I have served as Collector, Beed for almost 4 years. I am witness to the demand of Beed people for a better railway connectivity. Visited Wagholi today. It's a rapidly growing area,however, lacking required civic amenities. Reviewed ongoing projects of Roads, drainage and water supply. We are focusing on Wagholi and most of the critical issues will be addressed within 15 months .

Nala garden is a project/concept that turns dirty open sewage drain into a green and peaceful public park. Very innovative work done in Wagholi by the Panchsheel group which can be replicated in many other areas.

Visited Undri today and reviewed key civic development works in the area. Visited the 3.5-acre amenity plot, which will be developed as a garden in response to the demands of local citizens. Instructed the Garden Department to expedite the proposed development and make the facility available to residents at the earliest. Also heard citizens’ concerns regarding road development in Undri and directed the concerned departments to expedite ongoing road works and address issues on priority. Our focus remains on creating better gardens, roads and civic amenities for Undri residents. Also visited Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plants and adjoining housing societies in Undri today. Interacted with residents and heard their concerns regarding road conditions, dust and noise pollution caused by RMC trucks. Instructed the concerned department and RMC plant operators to strictly adhere to all norms. @PMCPune @MURWDFoundation

Ahead of Ganeshotsav, conducted a joint inspection of key procession routes and surrounding areas under the jurisdiction of Kasba and Vishrambaug Ward Offices. Along with Hon’ble MLA Shri Hemant Rasane and Pune Police Commissioner shri Amitesh Kumar Sir reviewed roads, potholes, water supply, drainage, electrical infrastructure, footpaths, encroachments and traffic arrangements. The incident was individual in nature, was promptly contained, and was detected through the system’s own analytics. The Corporation acted before a single appointment was made. Judicial precedents in such matters consistently recognise the principle of segregating the tainted from the untainted. In this case, the online examination process enabled the Corporation to reliably identify and segregate the candidates involved in the irregularity. PMC has accordingly proceeded with the appointments of candidates who were found to be untainted. In the interest of complete transparency, the Corporation has published the IBPS report in its entirety on the PMC website, enabling all stakeholders to examine the findings for themselves. Those who disagree with the Corporation’s decisions are free to approach the Government or the Hon’ble Courts. An FIR has also been registered, and the police will conduct an independent investigation. All relevant information will be shared in accordance with the law and the investigation process. It is important to distinguish between a paper leak and cheating by an individual candidate during an examination. They are not the same. The fact that three candidates were found to have engaged in cheating cannot, by itself, justify penalising all other candidates who prepared diligently and worked hard for years for these examinations. We must ensure that the wrongdoing of a few does not result in injustice to the many who followed the rules and earned their place fairly.

Visited today the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park today to review the ongoing infrastructure projects and take stock of animal upkeep and welfare. I was pleased to see the progress of the state-of-the-art Reptile Park, a much-needed upgrade from the existing, outdated facility. The new, larger and better-designed facility will significantly strengthen our efforts towards wildlife conservation and education, while also ensuring greater comfort and a better experience for visitors. During the visit, I also reviewed the arrangements for animal care and welfare and interacted with the zoo team regarding their ongoing efforts. Also discussed the Bird Park, an ambitious and unique facility planned to showcase the rich diversity of bird species and provide visitors with an engaging learning experience. We hope to see this project completed within the next two years. We are continuously working towards transforming the Rajiv Gandhi Zoological Park into a modern, world-class zoo of international standards, with conservation, education, animal welfare and visitor experience at its core.

Celebrated Raksha Bandhan with our sisters in the mental asylum at Yerawada. They are very special people who need care and love, not isolation. Mental illness may be viewed as inverted form of behaviour when a person faces overwhelming life anxieties. This thought makes us more empathetic.
