The economy’s performing well if you own it. If you work for a living, your paycheck didn’t get the memo. If wages had grown at the same rate as the S&P 500 over the last decade, the average worker would be making around $89 an hour instead of $38. Instead, wages barely kept pace while asset and grocery prices exploded and now workers are being told to compete with AI systems funded by an enormous debt-fueled infrastructure boom.
And if that bubble pops, we already know who usually gets stuck with the bill.
