Another example of Reform's political ineptitude. A report in which the party clears itself of any wrong doing is clearly not worth the paper it's written on. All this does is bring the issue of Reform sleaze back into the headlines. And on the perfect day for Kemi Badenoch.
EXCLUSIVE: Reform UK did not break any laws when senior party figures were recorded by undercover journalists discussing a £500,000 gift from a foreign donor, an internal investigation has concluded. A 27-page report, commissioned by Reform, after a Channel 4 investigation into funding also cleared the party of wrongdoing over the funding of three opinion polls. 🔗: telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

“Dear Diary, Our internal investigation into the Channel 4 sting is now complete. It found that my Chief of Staff, Dan Jukes, and my senior advisor and Head of Policy, James Orr, were both in fact ‘contractors’ and neither them nor Reform UK did anything wrong at all. Phew!”

When I was at university we had to write an essay about Starbucks and their tax avoidance. This was in 2012. Essentially they pay a ‘Royalty and Licence fee’ to a non UK company each year. This strips out their profits and enables them to avoid almost all corporation tax. I thought I would check whether things have changed since I wrote the essay back in 2012. This is the Corporation Tax paid each financial year: 2021: £5.4m 2022: £4.5m 2023: £7.2m 2024: £0m 2025 -£13.7m Total: £3.4m Royalty and License Fees: 2021: £26.5m 2022: £34.4m 2023: £40.4m 2024: £40.4m 2025: £43.2m Total: £184.9m Assuming a 25% corporation tax rate would be £46.22m in taxes brought in. If these loopholes were closed off, maybe our personal taxes would be reasonable.

There is a cure for the scientific ignorance displayed by @MichelleDewbs here. Get a doctor to come on air and explain it to you. But she’s hardly the worst offender. Anti-vax conspiracism is just part of the culture of @GBNEWS. Great news for fans of preventable disease, tho.
I’ve just watched a whole BBC documentary about the rapid increase in cancer among the young.. It explored food & lifestyle choices, even body sprays & plastics. Not once tho, did they explore whether getting young healthy people vaccinated over & over with a product that had no long term health data, may have played a role🤔

Steve has never heard of Thames Water.
Every single privatised industry that was once publicly owned greatly improved under privatisation. The hankering for public ownership as some form of remedy to the countries ills is pure fantasy.
