"There’s a long, dark history here, rooted in centuries of dismissal of predominantly female illnesses as “hysterical”, and amplified in recent decades by government attempts to reduce the benefits bill and insurers’ attempts to reduce payouts." theguardian.com/commentisfre…

It’s gross medical negligence in haematology:

It’s because more women have an iron deficiency masking a macrocytosis: they have a “normal” full/complete blood count but an iron deficiency is masking a macrocytosis so they have low oxygen levels as well as low neurotransmitters which will obviously cause neurological problems. It happens to men too but they generally don’t have such bad iron deficiencies. More information below:

It’s the haematology stupid! I’m not saying you’re stupid. It’s a joke;).
I think it’s tragic that so many chronically ill people such as those with ME/CFS have tried and failed to heal themselves with nutritional supplementation because either they or their doctors didn’t know what they’re doing and so they simply can’t believe that it is actually possible to do so. I’ve written about genuine haematological problems which doctors are failing to diagnose and treat such as iron deficiency masking macrocytosis which has been known in the scientific literature since the 1970s but that still hasn’t convinced them to try. As a result, huge numbers of people think they need to cure an iron deficiency which will be impossible because they don’t know that they also have folate and B12 deficiencies which means their livers are damaged due to impaired DNA synthesis and repair. They won’t be able to recover until they heal their folate and B12 deficiencies so that can then heal their livers so they can store ferritin again. They’ll have to live with constant chronic illness for the rest of their lives. I’ve written about the fact that doctors have been failing to diagnose and treat chronic hypoxia adaptation due to nutritional deficiencies which isn’t even mentioned in the scientific literature but there are many people whose full/complete counts show it. Those people will never recover until they get their oxygen levels back above the hypoxia threshold. Of course, they’ll never achieve that if they don’t even know about it. They will also have to live with chronic disease for the rest of their lives. They don’t understand the relationship between methylation, DNA synthesis and repair and erythropoiesis, ie creation of optimal numbers of healthy red blood cells in order to achieve an optimal metabolism. On the way to an optimal metabolism, your body will be repairing itself and your symptoms will vanish. When your metabolism is optimal and your body has the energy to maintain and repair itself then you will achieve homeostasis and optimum health. I achieved this myself back in 2012. It’s incredible how the body can heal itself when given what it needs. It felt incredible. It’s tragic that so many people will never experience real health again because they’ve been lied to by the medical industrial complex. I haven’t waited 14 years to start lying to people about this. Oh well. Perhaps someone will try eventually and succeed.

But the gaslighting has occurred to both males and females. Know lots of males where this occurred.
