My opinions are not medical advice

United Kingdom
My diagram with all the things I did in case it helps anyone else . I did self inject b12 and B1 every other day, but I’m not promoting this as self injecting carries risk . I also won’t be able to answer any questions about doing this as it’s not under nice guidelines 1/

"Can you see it now?" This is a very striking illustration of how #mecfs #neurocovid #longcovid patients feel every second of their lives. Reward comes of being gaslighted by the others, including their own families. Watch the video in fullscreen. Video credit: Trugrace Artistry

Just good to be reminded about this
80% of autoimmune patients are women.

@lewis_goodall Would it be possible for you to open up an #ME discussion based on this article. Many of us have been totally abandoned, often abused and belittled for decades. Friends have died or have taken their own lives as it’s unbearable.400,000 of us would be very grateful.

My covid infection massively increased my ADHD and made my functioning very difficult. My covid reinfection made my ADHD absolutely impossible to handle. It ruined my life. I've had LC for 5.5 years but I've been a total wreck for the last 1.5 year since the reinfection.
"Friendly" Reminder: Covid can cause executive dysfunction. In the post-acute phase. If you have ADHD, it increases already existing executive dysfunction (as well as several other very common ADHD symptoms like short term memory issues, sleeping disorders, distractability etc)

💔 No doctors are getting trained. I really hope this isn’t the case. Medical students starting shortly. I’ll probe them on what they’re getting taught nowadays.(Sinking feeling it won’t have changed since my day; if that’s the case we need urgent change) #greatestMEdicalscandal
History is repeating itself, now people with Long Covid are not getting support and no doctors trained, so we are our own doctor's, because we get no help from the health service, and no research being done, just left to get more ill.

Extraordinary to see ME covered like this in mainstream media. The truth is the neglect is so staggering people can't believe it. As Monbiot says " has seldom been a stronger case for a public inquiry." 🖇️article 👇

This is so horrifically sad.
Rest in power, Arnaud. 🕯🕊💙

Can’t believe it’s the end of September and I had to put a fan on today. Not complaining , it’s stunning weather - nicer than mid summer. It’s just weird (/worrying.. poor planet 🌍 ) Normally by now I’d be wearing autumn clothes.

We need change in psychiatry. Sadly this is true.
Given psychiatrists are meant to be trained in human emotion and the brain, you’d think they’d realise how harmful, and unlikely to help, it is to claim under-researched diseases are “all in the mind.” The fact some still do makes me question how well they understand their field
