“You know, Sean, I played basketball in the NBA for 11 years, and I know the rules. I simply put my hand up in the air. I did not cross over the baseline or sideline, and obviously, fans are not allowed to touch any players. So I didn’t break any rules. For them to come out and throw me out of the game and literally say my actions were equal to shooting a gun, I just cannot believe it. I don’t know who his PR person is, but they’re doing a terrible job. So we might be looking into a lawsuit for sure because this is unacceptable.”

I was encouraged by the President’s nomination of Jay Clayton to be the Director of National Intelligence. Mr. Clayton is known to the Senate, and his distinguished prior service, overseeing sensitive financial investigations as SEC Chair and leading consequential national security prosecutions as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, suggests he has the intellect, temperament, managerial capacity, discretion, and experience required by statute for this position. I look forward to the Senate’s consideration of his nomination.
