🚨 OXFORD POLICE RAID VAPE STORE 🚨 Two men have been arrested after Oxford police raided Puffs Vape, Tobacco and Beer Store on Heritage Drive. Yahya Mohamed Mosleh, 51, and Islam Mohamed, 18, face charges of possession of Schedule I controlled substances with intent to distribute. The arrests came after investigators conducted a controlled purchase, obtained a search warrant and searched the store. Authorities reportedly found more than 500 units of kratom, along with THC cartridges, gummies and other suspected narcotics. Kratom has been banned in Oxford since 2019. Adding to the story, the store’s owner, Amer Alowdi, was indicted on narcotics trafficking charges in 2022 and reportedly fled the country before he could be prosecuted. The raid also comes the same week Ole Miss students Aidan Hamilton and Robert Strang were found dead. Investigators said packaged kratom sold from a retail store was found during both death investigations. However, officials have NOT confirmed that kratom caused either death. The investigations are ongoing, and additional charges may still follow.
