I believed we were going to change the financial system with DeFi, and mostly ended up making L1 scam founders, meme coin KOLs and North Korea rich. I haven't been active on here in a while, took some time to process the last few years and also those ahead. After 10+ years in crypto I really didn't grasp "What's next?" Naturally the evolution was into fintech, but even that is uncertain with the evolution of AI. I want to keep building and evolving Orbit, but I also needed to take a hard look at where I wanted to place my focus for the next decade. I have a need to keep learning, growing, building and doing things where I feel make an actual impact. I went back to: "What excites me the most?" I settled on the fact that I need to be innovating but I wanted to build the deeply technical base I never fully had. So going back to study Robotics Engineering from November. It's a whole new chapter and where I believe the future is heading, to be positioned to do something big with it, combine the technical and the commercial. While studying will build up new networks and access to resources, and then we will see what is next ;)

the problem with tech twitter is that it's truly a bubble. you could be working on your first project, see 100+ other founders talking about making >$10k MRR and feel like you're the only one in the world that isn't getting "rich" with AI. the reality is that if you're building with AI, you're instantly among <1% of the population and if you've even made a single dollar off of something you've built, that number drops significantly. keep in mind, most people are using AI as a search engine, doctor, therapist, etc - not to build a SAAS. don't get dissuaded, you're too early.

When an exceptionally smart or disruptive person (Or even a technology) comes along and proves that the old way of doing things is inneficient or obsolete, this tend to shatter people's identities. If this outlier proves that a certain industry, belief system, or lifestyle is pointless, everyone that built their life, career, and self-worth on this old system feels attacked. To protect their own egos, the crowd will initially try to destroy the disruptor rather than adjust and admit their own worldview is flawed.

Get close — play with AI models, use them to help you think, ask them to teach you about the world, get them to help you create, work with them to write code, understand what makes them tick, embed them into your everyday life, have fun. 2. Stay far away — learn to tell stories, make eye contact, build a team, lead with courage, connect far-flung ideas, build lifelong friendships, debate persuasively, think forbidden thoughts, handwrite ideas, confess your fears, fall in love. Spend less time trying to master mental transformations that are purely mechanical — building spreadsheets, analyzing trades, balancing accounts, writing code by hand, following playbooks, searching for needles in haystacks. These are the emerging no-man's land, squarely the domain of AI. Venture to the extremes. That’s where all the fun is anyway.

Some of the best apps seem to do a great job of gamifying small things. This is whispr flow, adding little challenges to trivia things. I noticed that products like Whoop do this really well too they play on people's need to compete or optimise.

AI allows you to build a lot of your own software which is great but sometimes the tinkering and maintenance is more annoying than just paying for the tools. I found open source version of wispr flow to save 20 bucks a month and burned time trying to debug it. It would have been more economical just to pay for it. I think the exception can be if you want more custom setups or if there's heavy seat pricing and it really brings costs down. I also find new tools useful where I can plug in by API and don't really need the dashboard, like replacing GA ect

Find they use a live translation feature specifically designed for churches. Solo founder, platform looks vibecoded, many features a direct copy to whispr flow. Charges 2k per year, already has a tonne of local churches. Already expanding to conferences. Opportunities everywhere.
