That matches the latest Education Week survey: 75% of K-12 educators named student behavior their top concern for the 2026-27 school year. 71% also flagged low engagement. Most said it’s gotten worse.
This isn’t one bad classroom. Multiple national surveys now show the same pattern years after schools reopened. Attention is shorter, routines take more effort, and the old discipline tools don’t land the same way.

You can’t treat ‘fewer than 1% will pay’ as a promise. Senate Democrats rejected Amendment 696, which would have made the tax void unless voters locked the 9.9% cap and $1 million threshold in the constitution this upcoming election. That floor is just a statute. Future sessions can move it.

You made some Perkins Coie (think Steele Dossier) private attorneys "special AAGs". You were in the US Army in the JAG corps. I'm really curious about what is really going in quiet places where we cannot do oversight on state government employees like yourself?
When I worked in DSHS the AG's office told us why we lose cases in court.
My supervisors blew off the AG's advice. YET the AG then defended them in court cases. Why?
Under RCW the AG is not "required" to defend managers who break the laws. So why? Why do you do that? To the detriment of the child who is in custody care in Washington State the AG office did that from 1995 onward even as we got a GREAT law from the legislature that year.
