A few years ago I watched quite a few atheist v creationist debates. A frequent area of disagreement came when the atheist came up against a bible presuppositionalist: “we start from the point that the bible is true (because the bible says it is true)”. 1/

Doctors harm children with unevidenced treatments. Safeguarding leads try to raise the alarm. Senior doctors silence and punish them. The doctors' regulator doesn't see a problem. The rot is too wide and deep for individual cases. We need a public inquiry.

Ahead of the findings of the Patient Safety Investigation Report into WellBN published in May 2026, I concluded my piece for the NS last year like this: "should this investigation find that any child has been harmed as a result of WellBN’s medical approach to gender-questioning youth, none of the organisations responsible for protecting these young people and ensuring they receive safe care will be able to say it could not have been prevented. Not the NHS, not the GMC, nor the government. They were warned. Repeatedly. And did nothing."

My general experience of committed gender ideologues is of intellectual arrogance and moral vanity. They can't fathom why what's so obvious to them isn't accepted uncritically by the masses. Clearly, the masses must be too stupid to understand, or too full of hate to comply.

Knowing the right jargon makes people without much critical thinking ability feel clever and impresses people who're similarly short on analytical skills. It doesn't require much intelligence to memories slogans and trendy words. Ask any parrot. Or, indeed, Stella Creasy.

Their problem is that you understand the terminology too well, and therefore how absurd it is.

Female athletes are speaking out about their concerns over the fairness and safety of having biological males compete in women’s sports. The Liberal Secretary of Sport turns a blind eye to their concerns, dismissing them as a “simply stupid, conservative pseudo fantasy.” Women’s voices continue to be dismissed and ignored, raising the question: when will the Liberals start listening to the women directly affected by these policies?

I don’t decide what people are, I observe what they are. You demand that the rest of the world acts as a flattering magic mirror, constantly reflecting back at you the image you prefer. That’s narcissism. You have no rights over other people’s perception or expression.

This woman is so full of self loathing, internalized homophobia and unresolved sexual trauma she irreversibly mutilated her body. She’s fried her vocal cords from cross sex hormones so much she can’t even raise her voice. She’s killed her career and now wants other teens and young people to do the same. Misery loves company.

But it couldn’t be social contagion, folks. It’s just that young people, especially autistic, gay and mentally ill ones, are finally free to be their authentic selves. The sudden explosion of young women who want to cut off their healthy breasts and take testosterone? Well, it’s absolutely not the newest form of self-harm, to which troubled adolescent girls are provably prone, ok? It’s not a consequence of the commonplace fear of becoming an adult woman, with all that that entails. No, there’s nothing to worry about there. The possibility of regret? Naturally, we don’t let minors get tattoos or own guns or vote, because that would be ridiculous, but if they want irreversible surgeries and drug treatments, they must be given them, and everyone around them must immediately agree they are now the opposite sex. That’s called being kind. And the mounting numbers of detransitioners? They were never trans, obviously, and should be mercilessly attacked, especially if they now say they were vulnerable and in a friendship group, online or off, dominated by trans identities, where transitioning was presented as a way to resolve all their social and emotional difficulties. (I have the emails). No, there’s nothing whatsoever to see here. Keep justifying it, keep cheering it on, keep insisting that the doctors and drug companies making serious money out of it all are acting with the purest of motives. Answer every reasonable question with an accusation of hatred and bigotry. Dispel every qualm of conscience with an activist-approved talking point. Reassure yourself that everyone on your dinner party circuit agrees with you. And when, in years to come, we’re all looking back on graphs like this, be proud that you did your bit to monster whistleblowers, parrot unevidenced claims and create the climate of fear that allowed the worst medical scandal in a century to take place.
This data never ceases to "amaze" me. In 2005, very few people received any transition related genital surgery (120 over the whole of 🇩🇪), in 2025 it was 4,184. And the shift in the age distribution is staggering: Surgeries on 18-25 year olds were almost non-existent in the noughties, now they dominate every other age group by a large factor. (This is official data)

Until a few years ago knowing that and that it has prac consequences had to be described as a belief system - in the same way you didn't believe you were a round earther or believe in the nitrogent cycle or be aDarwinist. GC has only come into existence by being forged in the heat and pressure of the new ideology which has come into force in our institutions. It has taken hold with extraordinary speed partly because its not by argument or evidence, but by bullying, threats to livelihood and threats of violence

in the way toilets and CRs have been provided in recent years could be more challenging - and people who've been using one set and are now going to another - not saying that's wrong, but it will have an impact on them and as employers it hasn't been explained where there are exemption and how that translates into healthcare settings where patients have to be cared for and it sounds straightforward to move from one to the other and that's hard to implement in practice and that remains unclear NC yes people who have taken steps to alter their appearance do cause problems PM don't think it's the inds - defining those is still as I understand it, unclear NC what is clear - there may be diff cases where people had altered their appearance but for the great majority of people - irrespective of it actually - there is a rule that people should not be allowed to use oppo sex facilities PM yes for toilets its clear but - practically implementing that and people dealing with that is difficult and there is a big issue with the treatment of trans patients - the majority of the time it will be straightforward, but we want guidance as we don't want our frontline staff being put in a position NC but the real clear outcome is that nobody should be allowed to use facilities for the oppo sex PM but no one should be discrimmed for GR and we have to balance the rights of diff groups and whilst SC is clear - balancing the rights against groups is a problem NC yes GR have rights but if a man who IDs as a woman is told he's not allowed to use the F CR, that's not discrim against him on grounds of GR [gives non answer. NC tries again] PM no but if there is no suitable facilities - not a lawyer - but there needs to be somewhere for that ind to change NC clearly he needs somewhere to go - but it is really clear it's not in the women's [goes back to JGM's advice]. All of that is nonsense isn't it? It's not kneejerk - it's complying with the law. PM it makes sense to me NC it's right to hesitate and dither and we should consult before we comply with the law - really saying it's okay to do that PM yes

“It makes looking after gay children a crime...this bill causes — and not prevents — gay conversion therapy”, says Dennis Kavanagh. The Bill is both confusing and confused. It is framed as protecting vulnerable people from coercive attempts to change their sexual orientation or gender identity. In reality, it risks criminalising well-intentioned conversations and imprisoning parents, teachers, therapists, religious communities and even friends. Speaking at the Free Speech Union and Genspect’s event in Belfast on Friday, criminal barrister and co-director of the Gay Men’s Network Dennis Kavanagh highlighted that the law already rightly bans abusive conversion practices. This Bill would create new offences that could criminalise important conversations between parents and their gender-confused children. It will inevitably and inadvertently harm the very children it purports to protect by casting “the shadow of criminal law across your kitchen table”. Watch Dennis and the full event below 👇
