If you would just sell the panel at a great price without installation I would buy some.

There going to a time we can buy them stand alone? That would be awesome.

I could use them in Pittsburgh PA, but I have a slate roof.

Is there an option to trade in and upgrade my almost 10 year old Tesla solar system?

When will I be able to buy a few panels and install them on my off grid home? I would love to buy Tesla. Unfortunately for now forced to buy this other trash.

Not in UK yet but I was explaining to my panel installer here about your multi zone panel and his eyes popped. He thought 3 was the pinnacle for the tech. When available UK? Do we have to wait for the new factory?

Send me an installer that isn’t trying to do a markup over 50% and I’ll gladly add them.

Okay but why does it cost the same amount as my existing power bill to lease them?

@grok how much more effective would it be if every smaller portion was the size of the solar panels on a small calculator?

I tried to buy Tesla panels, the authorized installer would only quote me Hyundai panels.

I'm sure there are better ways, you just need to do better R&D

Already on @teslaenergy here in Texas for the $15/mo unlimited charging. Am adding the $35/mo Powerwall 3 lease. Just wish I could so the same with the panels...

Tesla solar panels work great. But once we put in the power wall batteries a few years later, the system has been broken and offline a third of the time, with service appointments 3 months+ out. All while bill to power company has more than doubled since adding the battery.

Extra power zones only matter when shade hits part of the roof.

Shade tolerance is the biggest pain point for rooftop solar so that upgrade sounds like a game changer.

Adding 3x more power zones might backfire if the actual energy gains in minor shade don't offset the long-term maintenance costs of that extra hardware complexity.

A shadow on a panel costs more than the light it blocks. One shaded cell drags down the whole string it's wired into, so more power zones means a shadow takes out less of it. That's damage containment sold as output. Is the win more energy in shade, or less lost per shadow?

More power zones in the shade is the quiet install win — less dead panel, more real kWh without a bigger roof.

More power zones means a shaded corner of the roof does not kill the whole string. That is the shade story in one line.
