My hot take is that the United Nations should be in the middle of nowhere as it had originally been intended (upstate NY). Everytime the building is in session, half of Midtown crawls to a standstill, which seems like a crazy phenomenon.
For #UNGA NYC creates a lane on 42nd so leaders can get around. It’s done w/o any consideration for how NYers get around, as sidewalks are blocked, too. A dedicated bus or walk lane would take years of public hearings to achieve this. Why can’t the people get the same treatment?
