As a realtor in Miami I can assure you most of these are condo sellers. The homes move so quickly especially in the desirable locations!

I wonder if folks are leaving the “free state of Florida” after their draconian “hate speech laws” that target anyone who dares to criticize the Israeli government🤔

In Miami, it costs 8.1 annual teacher salaries to buy a local home. National average is 5.7.

138% more sellers than buyers is a pretty serious imbalance. the interesting part is how long sellers can keep holding out before prices have to adjust.

Time to drop the price. I remember Econ 101….

There’s an easy fix to this: The sellers just need to start selling their homes for a lot less than what they bought those homes for But something tells me they’ll wait for this housing bubble to pop before doing that…

“Miami currently has 138% more home sellers than buyers,” We’ve been told repeatedly that the US is in a housing crisis.

How could you figure out the number of buyers? I am one but I'm on no list!

There is no reason to pay the type of price they're asking to live in a third world city, and no one interested in taking their place. EVery time I go, I stay outside of the city in a town north of the city and drive in for the event and right back out again.

Miami is going to crash. There’s some shenanigans going on in the market…the lack of transparency in many of these multimillion dollar sales, with the market as it stands, are fairly questionable. The upcoming quarters will be very interesting.

Here’s the problem for Miami that every Floridian knows, it fucking sucks. It’s fun to visit for a weekend but impossible to live in. Plenty of way better spots in Florida.

Well, when interest rates are at 6-7%, the average home insurance bill is at $3,000, and property taxes are averaging $4,500 a year, what do you expect?

Yep, it’s an expensive shithole. I’ve been here 30 years, leaving to Orlando soon. Towns like Hamlin are better and cheaper. Miami sucks now

Single family home prices are up 4% over last year. The buyers that exist are paying existing prices. So, no sign of falling prices.

Miami real estate prices, aside from condos, are as expensive to similar properties in LA and NYC these days, it’s insane, but Miami has a much weaker economic base and much lower local salaries, there’s just no way the prices are sustainable. Last downturn, prices fell 50-90%
