Yes it can be expensive living here but all things being equal, when adjusted, most things are still way cheaper for the average US citizen.

I only use it in the evening. Flip between fan for an hour, blast the apartment for 20 minutes with AC, then fan again. Bedroom aircon goes on around 10pm on a 2.5-hour timer. Most of the day I’m at work. So essentially, the AC is rarely used.
