H.E. Mr Devesh Uttam, Ambassador (Designate) of India to Ethiopia and PR to the AU met His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, Catholicos and Supreme Head of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church of India, in Addis Ababa. His Holiness was the Chief Guest at the Meskel grand celebrations of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. The meeting highlighted the longstanding spiritual and cultural bonds between the Oriental Orthodox Churches of India and Ethiopia. The close ties between the two Churches serve as an important bridge for strengthening people-to-people connections and further enriching the warm and friendly relations between India and Ethiopia.
