1 million years from now, the Somalian tectonic plate is going to collide with the Indian tectonic plate. That collision will create an equally high mountain range like the Himalaya on the western coast. Imagine being the first Somalian to trek up till Pune, only to see Hinjawadi metro still not inaugurated.

THE REAL COST OF DEVELOPMENT!!! A road may be built in a few years. A family's home, savings and sense of security may take a lifetime to rebuild. Development is progress only when the people expected to live with its consequences are protected—not forgotten. Scary !!!

If the supreme court has to threaten a dharna for basic civic issues' resolution then just imagine the plight of the common man and his ordeal for civic issue resolution. @MC_Panchkula ,@PMDAPanchkula could you please take up the issues for safe and walkable footpaths for all.

81 mature trees felled. 56 transplanted trees reportedly failed to survive Now 7 young trees nurtured by citizens have been cut Does PMC have any strategy to protect Pune’s trees or is every new project another excuse to destroy them? timesofindia.indiatimes.com/…

Same story of Pune too. Hazy skies inspite of last nite rain No green net on highrise construction areas and see the PM10 dust.@ChaloPmc @PMCPune @navipeth @Warriormomsin @WMMaharashtra @ChaitanyaKet @vandymini @clean_pune
Mumbai is choking. The AQI is soaring. Thanks to builder-loving, nature-hating Fadnavis, who will not rest until Mumbaikars choke to death and his builder friends can build another tower on the heaps of our corpses. And Eknath Shinde, who thinks MMRDA is his private construction company, working overtime to keep his party relevant. Both these evil men, with their insatiable lust for money and power, are going to ensure that Mumbai is rendered uninhabitable soon. These guys will rot in hell for plunging Mumbai into absolute chaos.

CPCB’s SAMEER app shows PM2.5 readings of 66–95 µg/m³ in GREEN while the station AQI is 161 (Moderate). @CPCB_OFFICIAL please clarify: 1What do light and dark green bars mean? 2Are colours based on pollution levels or just design? 3Why is there no clear legend? 4Why not display PM2.5 standards alongside readings? Hourly readings differ from 24-hour AQI but colour coding should not create a false sense of safety. Air quality data must inform not mislead.
‼️COLOR CODING #SCAM in Sameer App False feel Good🪶 #AQI 161 = “Moderate” (Yellow) ✅ But the 24-hr graph paints PM2.5 of 66–95 µg/m³ all in GREEN 🟢 As per CPCB: 61–90 µg/m³ = Moderate → Should be YELLOW 🟡 Green is ONLY for Good/Satisfactory! They’re literally painting pollution as “safe” 😤 #SameerApp #AQI #AirQuality #CPCB #PollutionAlert #Pune #India

Dear Lordship, preaching Article 21 in the morning & pleading enforcement challenges in the afternoon is a bit confusing. Is the right to breathe fundamental only in speeches, not in practice?

#India: We are concerned by reports of mass detentions of demonstrators, protest leaders, members of civil society organisations, lawyers and journalists, before and during today’s large-scale demonstrations in Delhi. We call on the authorities to ensure that the right to peaceful assembly is fully respected and fulfilled. ohchr.org/en/press-releases/…

Clean-up drives make the #Ghaggar look better for a day. Untreated drains make it sick again by the next. 🧵 Beyond the first aid: stop the source, restore the flow, protect the floodplain. That is how a dying river comes back. #BeyondTheGhaggar @Earthworri1 @Indian_Rivers

1/4 Great initiative by @MC_Panchkula to start penalizing the LITTERING JUNTA with on-the-spot digital e-challans! 👏 If strictly enforced, will definitely yield immediate results on the ground . @VinayKumar_IRPS please ensure that enforcement is uniform and not selective . 👇

True💪Consistency in action and relentless push for on‑ground policy implementation is what truly shifts the needle. Pressure must be built alongside good work — only then does change stop being optional and start becoming inevitable. #ClimateActionNow #Pune

Another winter, another action plan, but Delhi’s pollution problem doesn’t begin in winter. As @reetksahni @ndtv reports, experts flag what has been said over & over again; many measures already exist under GRAP. The real crisis is implementation, accountability & year round source reduction. Delhi needs action on the ground, not another plan on paper. ndtv.com/india-news/experts-…

Why can't @PMCPune @navalMH @MDNagpure could think of the similar planning & Pune grand tour quality roads elsewhere for citizens of #Pune. Indian citizens deserve some love too. Spend something. Why are we left to die on potholed, unleveled poor quality roads? @mohol_murlidhar

@GHMCOnline @CommissionrGHMC @TelanganaCMO @revanth_anumula You are now claiming that this 4.3-km elevated corridor will have “zero footprint in the Eco-Sensitive KBR Park zone” and minimise impact on existing green cover. But this comes after replacing the earlier 14-structure H-CITI plan with a new ₹1,090-crore corridor. So, Hyderabadis are asking again: Where is the Detailed Project Report for this new 4.3-km corridor❓ Where is the cumulative Environmental Impact Assessment, socio-economic impact assessment and intergenerational impact assessment ❓ Were citizens and independent experts consulted before deciding on this repackaged project ❓ We have asked these questions before. We shouldn't have to ask them again every time the project is redesigned. Public money is not a blank cheque. Every rupee comes with accountability. #SaveKBR #Hyderabad #Accountability #Democracy #India #India #GHMC

Commendable move by @PMDAPanchkula & @MC_Panchkula to free ~3,000 mature trees from choking concrete & enforce the 1m NGT buffer! 🌳 However, de-concretization is living surgery, not routine civil demolition. A regular contractor mindset will do more harm than good. 🧵👇
