Stop with this far-right nonsense. The dichotomy is people who want more, authoritarian top-down controls (such as you) and people who want less. Big gov with big capital and labour unions ... all telling us how to live for our own good. Left's agenda is basically fascism. No?

I see the 2026 @PolariPrize has a "gender-balanced" 😂judging panel of 6 men and 2 women. The trans loons must really have held poor @PaulBurston's feet to the fire for listing John Boyne last year. 3 trans-identified males out of 8 judges. No, they don't count as women. Definitely seems legit 🙄 So who has lost out here? Let me think 🤔 I know! It's women. We've gone back to the days when women were barely represented on judging panels. Men in dresses with long hair do not count as women. Funny, that.

I was just growing up the last time we had regular power cuts. But they were all fixed in a few hours. Nowadays they might be a few WEEKS! A renewable grid is much much harder to recover So, here is today's advice. And that we should have 'progressed' back to a worse position than in the strike-prone 1970s utterly baffles me.. We've designed failure into our grid. Its not bad actors. Its a design feature! wattsupwiththat.com/2026/10/…

The proposed social media ban for under-16s is not about protecting children online. It is a tool for the Government to gain greater control over what we think, say and do online. In one of his final acts as Prime Minister, Keir Starmer announced a blanket social media ban for under-16s, following the model adopted by Australia. But children in Australia have used VPNs to get around the ban. The Starmer Government even considered a VPN ban in the UK before putting the idea on ice. Such a move would have put us in the same company as North Korea, Iran and Iraq. Lisa Nandy has admitted that she sees the ban as a “staging post” towards a very interventionist state that polices and regulates the online space. In the past five years, 62,199 people have been arrested for communications offences, including over things they said online. At the same time, the Government is trying to lower the voting age to 16 through the Representation of the People Bill. It expects 16-year-olds to make informed choices at the ballot box and take part in our democracy, while restricting their access to social media—a key source of news and information about matters of democratic importance. This ban is a means of extending Government control. Watch FSU Campaigns Officer @MaxHThompson below 👇

BIRMINGHAM HAS BEEN AFRAID TO ASK WHO THE MEN WERE SINCE 1991. NOW ONE OF ITS MPs IS TELLING THE NATIONAL INQUIRY NOT TO FOCUS ON THEIR IDENTITIES. On 29 September, Ayoub Khan MP wrote to Birmingham City Council, West Midlands Police, Birmingham Children’s Trust and the Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs. He told them the focus should be on victims and survivors “rather than the identities of perpetrators.” The next day Birmingham was formally named for investigation. Khan knew the Inquiry’s own terms require it to examine the ethnicity, religion and culture of perpetrators. Birmingham has been here before. In 1990 the council commissioned Dr Jill Jesson to investigate girls in its care who were being picked up and passed between men. Jesson says she found Asian private-hire drivers in the social workers’ own case notes, was told to remove that link and that copies of her report were to be destroyed. The report was never published. In 1995 councillors voted down a motion demanding an inquiry into its suppression. By 2010 West Midlands Police had found that most suspects in its regional CSE profile were Asian, many of Pakistani heritage. Its own documents warned that the profile of Pakistani Muslim men and mainly white victims had the potential to cause “significant community tensions.” That fear never disappeared. Baroness Casey later found that authorities had “shied away from” perpetrator ethnicity for years. Alexis Jay found that the majority of known perpetrators in Rotherham were of Pakistani heritage. And Ayoub Khan has repeatedly attacked the question itself. In 2025 he called the rape gang scandal a “narrative” used to sow division. In Parliament in 2026 he said people focusing on Pakistani, Muslim, Asian or migrant communities were “revealing a prejudice.” Then, on 29 September, he took that argument directly to the Inquiry. This is why Birmingham being named is not enough. The real battle is over what the Inquiry is prepared to examine once it gets there. Khan says Birmingham has “nothing to hide.” Good. Then Anne Longfield should write back publicly and state that Birmingham will examine exactly who the perpetrators were, their ethnicity, religion, culture and the networks they operated through. Because after 35 years, Birmingham does not need another politician telling investigators which question is too dangerous to ask. This is a LIE. The United Nations apparently does not read their own IPCC reports. Globally, floods have not become more frequent or more intense, although there are regional variations within the bounds of internal variability. There are two primary types of floods relevant to this discussion: fluvial (river) and flash (pluvial). Long-term trends in river floods are usually evaluated by looking at river and streamflow from river / stream gauges. This can be evaluated by looking at the flux of water passing by a fixed point, and we measure this in units of cubic feet per second (ft³ / sec). With respect to river flooding trends, IPCC AR6 WG1 states in Chapter 11 that, 🗨️ “Peak flow trends are characterized by high regional variability and lack overall statistical significance of a decrease or an increase over the globe as a whole. Of more than 3,500 streamflow stations in the USA, central and Northern Europe, Africa, Brazil, and Australia, 7.1% stations showed a significant increase, and 11.9% stations showed a significant decrease in annual maximum peak flow during 1961–2005.” 🔗ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/downl… (p. 1568) With respect to attributing flooding trends to human influence, the IPCC states, 🗨️ “In summary there is low confidence in the human influence on the changes in high river flows on the global scale. In general, there is low confidence in attributing changes in the probability or magnitude of flood events to human influence...” 🔗ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/downl… (p. 1569) More recent streamflow data from USGS gauges (and compiled by the U.S. EPA) affirm the IPCC’s synthesis in that river floods in the U.S. have neither increased nor decreased over the last 60+ years. The map I made below on the left shows the change in the magnitude of river flooding in the Lower 48 since 1960. The triangle-shaped markers show the annual linear trend in peak river flows (ft³ / sec) from 1960 to 2025 for all 425 USGS river / stream gauges having at at least 95% completeness over the period examined. Only ~5.2% of gauges show a statistically significant increase in river floods and ~5.9% show a significant decrease. The rest are not statistically significant in either direction, so overall the trend isn’t statistically different from zero. With respect to flash flooding IPCC AR6 says, 🗨️ “[H]eavier rainfall does not always lead to greater flooding. This is because flooding also depends upon the type of river basin, the surface landscape, the extent and duration of the rainfall, and how wet the ground is before the rainfall event... A mix of both increases and decreases in [flash] flooding have been observed in some regions...” 🔗ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1/downl… (p. 8) Ahmadalipour & Moradkhani (2019) found no increase in flash flooding incidents in the U.S. between 1996 and 2017. I suspect that these trends have continued, but an update to this paper would be nice. 🔗sciencedirect.com/science/ar…
Floods are becoming more frequent, more intense and are impacting more lives. Resilience is no longer optional. It must shape how we plan, invest, and respond to protect lives and support economies. The signal is clear: unep.org/topics/climate-acti…

The vast quangocracy is so much more malicious than just a few meaningless bodies which oversee newt preservation or tarmac thickness. These are the men and women running the country - unelected and entirely unaccountable to the taxpayer, and even the MP. Decisions outsourced to this committee or that body. Nobody takes responsibility, it’s always somebody else’s fault. Hiding behind nonsense jargon and acronyms. Hundreds of these agencies, panels, commissions, ombudsmans, boards, funds, authorities, offices. It is ENDLESS. Stuffed with politically correct apparatchiks who have one aim - to justify their existence. That means perpetuating the status quo - politically, culturally, socially. Anybody challenges the DEI shite, they will be excommunicated. Anybody genuinely fights for the taxpayer, they get the boot. So nobody does. And so it builds and builds, it evolves. It strengthens. Groupthink is everywhere. The answer is simple, in principle. Return power to the MPs, and therefore the people. Make the power accountable. But to do this means undoing decades of intricate and deliberate planning to build this parallel state power base. To think that can happen without resistance is naive, to say the least. The quangocracy cannot be reformed or conserved, it must be destroyed. Meddling will not work. Replacing it will fail. It must be ripped apart from limb from limb. Power must finally be restored to parliament. That is the only way to restore our democracy, and then restore our country.

A California nurse says her hospital went from four stillbirths a year to 22 in a SINGLE MONTH after COVID shots were pushed on pregnant women. That's more stillbirths in 30 days than the previous FIVE YEARS combined. The hospital sent an email, telling nurses to BRUSH UP ON HANDLING DEAD BABIES' BODIES. But not a shred of concern about WHY they were dying. Stillbirths are up 6,500% in a single month, and the hospital doesn't want to get to the bottom of it. Nurse Michelle Spencer questioned the COVID shots. Her colleagues? They figured it was GLOBAL WARMING.

🤣 parody? an SNL skit?
Here is the video: A Muslim preacher explains the fatwa permitting suicide bombers to stretch each other's anuses in daily training sessions with male jihadists at their mosque. They train each other to insert explosive devices of different sizes and improve their ability to hold them in their rectums. He clarified that training with other Muslim men to expand their anal capacity for larger bombs does not count as homosexuality, as it is done as part of jihad to achieve martyrdom.

🚨 The Government has imposed a de facto Islamic blasphemy law by the back door — and almost certainly allowed Islamist extremists to influence the process. At the start of the year, the Free Speech Union revealed that all five members of the Government’s working group had troubling links to Islamist organisations, including the Muslim Council of Britain and MEND. Successive governments have had a policy of non-engagement with both since 2009, citing concerns about their views. A Freedom of Information request by Shadow Justice Secretary @NJ_Timothy revealed that the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government (MHCLG) had said it deleted all responses to the Working Group’s consultation, which informed the drafting of the definition. That appeared to conflict with the Government’s own data policy, which requires key information of historical importance to be retained for 20 years. The Free Speech Union sent MHCLG a pre-action protocol letter, threatening judicial review unless the department disclosed who had been given the opportunity to influence the definition. After considerable delay, MHCLG has written back to @SpeechUnion and admitted that they had located ‘at least one available copy of the dataset’. This is a shocking revelation — and raises serious questions about the handling of the process. Angela Rayner must come clean. Why did officials originally claim that the data had been deleted? If it has been deleted, and subsequently “recovered”, why did this happen, and why did they attempt to hide behind data protection legislation? Did the Government allow extremists to influence the drafting of a definition that has had a chilling effect on free speech — and then mislead the public about what happened to the consultation responses? The public deserves to know the truth.
Labour’s “Islamophobia” definition was almost certainly influenced by extremists. They covered it up and said all the evidence was deleted. I forced them to investigate. Now their top official says ministers lied, and they do still have records of it. There is zero excuse not to publish it.

POST OFFICE BANKRUPTED A MAN AFTER HE ASKED FOR HELP 91 TIMES Lee Castleton @CastletonLee did not hide the problem. He reported it 91 times in just 12 weeks. He kept telling the @PostOffice that Horizon was showing losses he could not explain. Their response was to audit him, suspend him, demand around £25,000 and eventually bankrupt him. In 2003, Lee Castleton and his wife sold their home and bought a small Post Office branch in Bridlington, hoping for a quieter life by the sea with their two young children. Within a year, Horizon was showing unexplained shortages. When the case reached the High Court, he could not afford a lawyer and represented himself. He lost. The Post Office then pursued him for about £321,000 in legal costs. He was bankrupted. His children were bullied at school. His daughter was spat at because people believed her father was a thief. His wife's health suffered. In 2019, he was one of more than 550 former postmasters in the group litigation that ended with a £58 million settlement. His share was around £20,000. Years later, former Post Office chief executive Paula Vennells told the Horizon IT Inquiry that his treatment had been unforgivable. She also accepted that she had probably signed off the legal costs that helped bankrupt him. He is now pursuing the Post Office and Fujitsu for up to £8 million, arguing that the original 2007 judgment was obtained by fraud. In May 2026, the Court of Appeal ruled that his claim should proceed as one trial. Almost two decades after those first calls for help, he is still fighting. 91 calls. No solution. Then bankruptcy. 😳 Pay attention everyone in the UK. It's not even winter yet.
@neso_energy has another Electricity Margin Notice in place for today... Shortfall 1840 MW for 3pm to 11pm today This is an unusually wide timeframe covering far more than just the evening peak So what's going on? Wind is set to be low dipping to 1700 MW at 6pm Solar will peak at 6758 MW at 1pm, be at 5882 MW at 3pm and zero from 7pm Interconnectors are nominated to export the max capacity of 8756 MW between 12:30pm and 2pm. Imports and then nominated to fall to 6285 MW at 3pm, 435 MW at 5pm and then flip to exports reaching 1979 MW between 6:30pm and 7pm. Exports are then set to fall, with the cables flipping to imports of 528 MW between 8:30pm and 9pm before heading back to export mode with exports reaching 1282 MW at 10:30pm which is the last available time right now Demand is forecast at 33,203 MW at 3pm, peaking for the evening at 33,940 MW at 7:30pm and then falling to 25,843 MW by 11pm The grid will be tightest between 5:30pm and 8pm where NESO will need imports to meet demand As before I expect NESO will turn to intraday SO-SO trades on the interconnectors to resolve this. It has been consistently buying back up to the cap for quite a large part of the past day and since 5:30am this morning I expect this will continue but I also expect the cap of 1500 MW in any settlement period to be breached. Behold ATM BAR AND RESTAURANTS LTD! A "cocktail bar" in Wickford was assigned 40 Skilled Worker visa certificates in 2023 and 2024. One of the 2023 roles was a web designer, for a bar with no website There's no sign it ever opened. Its only premises was an empty former Santander branch. Betfred plans to run the same unit with 6 staff (124m^2). It never filed a single set of accounts. It had £1 of share capital. It got three compulsory strike-off notices while sponsoring dozens of workers. Its licence was gone by June 2026. The company was dissolved in September. How was this business EVER allowed to sponsor visas? What "genuine business need" could they possibly have shown for ONE worker, let alone FORTY workers? What on earth is UK Visas and Immigration doing?
