Can’t even bring herself to say his name
#TXPol: "I'm Texas Senator Angela Paxton. People have asked my thoughts about this election and turns out, I have some ... I'm voting for the Republican ticket on November 3rd." Texas PAC is up with a new ad featuring Angela Paxton, Ken Paxton's estranged wife.

Sinistro killed a guardian , Lanterns aren't supposed to be powerful enough to kill a guardian yet sinistro killed one and Hal stopped sinistro...... I'll spell it out for you if it's still not clicking, THE GUARDIANS ARE SCARED OF HAL
The guardians could've simply given John Stewart this particular ring after he passed the test. Hal and Guy didn't have to fight anyone to get theirs. I don't understand why they wanted John to take it forcefully from Hal Jordan.

They talked about this on The Downballot podcast (which is fantastic btw) but a lot of red-state Rs are incredibly rusty at running in general elections against Democrats who actually have a pulse. Marshall, Paxton, Abbott, Ricketts, Hinson, Sullivan & Hyde-Smith come to mind.
Roger Marshall’s false attacks have already been investigated and debunked by reporters across Kansas. This type of mudslinging is exactly what’s wrong with Washington right now. These are the attacks of a desperate, flailing candidate. It’s time to bring decency back to politics.

👀Former Biden energy secretary Jennifer Granholm really likes the bipartisan Senate #permitting bill, says it supports idea that "we don’t have to choose between environmental protection & building things. We have to learn how to do both — and do it a hell of a lot faster" (1/2)

✅ We're in on permitting reform! "We’re proud to endorse the Bipartisan American Affordability and Jobs Act, and we’re excited to mobilize our grassroots volunteers in full support," said CCL’s Executive Director Ricky Bradley. citizensclimatelobby.org/blo…

God bless the leaker. Fuck these people. Tell your members of Congress to support this bill.

when i was on the Hill, i remember center for biological diversity responding to agencies’ public comment opportunities with obscenity-filled diatribes. they’re not a serious organization. it’s absurd to let them — or orgs who embrace them — drive the opposition to a good bill.

It takes years to build the transmission lines we need to spread clean electricity across the country, so if we wait until then, we’re really waiting into the 2030s! It’s put up or shut up time for clean energy and climate action
Replying to @willpoffwebster
it has given me whiplash to see the same people who say “we are in a climate crisis, we don’t have the luxury of waiting for action” now turn around and say we can wait for a speculative better permitting proposal in 2029

At a certain point you’re not really doing politics anymore, you’re cosplaying a weird donor-funded pantomime of it. It is unclear to me why a number of these groups still exist other than to put on a show for the activists and their funders.

I started my career in the environmental movement. People with no interest in ever getting to “Yes” shouldn’t have a seat at the final negotiating table. Cut them out.

The Center for Biological Diversity is an “environmental” group that sues clean energy projects and stood with the GOP in opposing the Inflation Reduction Act. They are climate arsonists of the worst kind and should never be listened to

The permitting reform deal will lower your bills, reduce fossil fuel use and cut emissions.
This modeling from Greenline Insights shows that by 2035, passing transmission reform would: 💸Lower bills by $1.1B 📉Reduce nat gas from 45% to 39% of fuel mix 📈Increase battery deployment by 65%, solar by 22%, and wind by 14% 🍃Cut emissions by 9% greenlineinsights.com/interc…

It’s too bad that popular governor Josh Shapiro is stuck in Pennsylvania rather than a critical swing area like New York City or we might get some media coverage of what Democrats can learn from his successes over the years.

These activists just suck. They are completely unwilling to compromise in any form. And that strategy will get us what we've had before this bill: nothing.
