The AXL-Golgi story...
has two parts, both of which are now published.
1) AXL receptor tyrosine kinase regulates Golgi organization and function via an adhesion-Arf1 signaling axis in breast and lung cancer cell lines

Together, they make for a comprehensive story identifying the role of AXL in controlling Golgi organization and its regulation by mechanosensory cues (matrix stiffness).
Work started as a simple screen by Prachi to pick AXL as a gene of interest, taken forward by @ArnavSaha19 and @Tush96rkhane. Supported ably by many others. It's also nice to be able to use data from Vibhas's @SVibha1 studies in this paper, as she identified the adhesion-Golgi connection many years ago.
Congratulations to all involved in this study, which was challenging and exciting in equal measure.

The procession also acted as a publicity for his forthcoming film "Geet Gaya Pattharon ne“, as is evident from the poster beside the idol. The film starred Jeetendra and his daughter Rajshree, debut film for both of them.
Filmmaker V Shantaram celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi at his Rajkamal Studio in Mumbai every year.

Something @ganitlabs and I have discussed before: how best to make reproducible data more visible.
One way is for journals to let readers tag figures when someone has successfully reproduced an experiment. By limiting this to successful experiments, we can also prevent negative trolling of papers and scientists.
When looking at a figure, if I had a way of knowing that 3 other scientists have given a REPRODUCIBILITY THUMBS UP (👍) to a panel in a figure, this could add a lot of value to the data. There has to be a way to share the positive data in a way that ensures the experiments were done as suggested by the thumbs-up.
This could be a simple start to factor reproducibility into the discussion.
Maybe @EMBO @Co_Biologists could lead a pilot to see how this works.

‘Combiflam’ is a very effective painkiller but can knock out your kidneys & liver. Paracetamol is also effective (though a tad lesser) but in right dose (1 gm). An effort by CDSCO to stop mass prescription & consumption of NSAIDs. Perhaps too little & too late.
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) has issued an advisory circular addressed to healthcare professionals, pharmacies, retailers, distributors, and hospitals regarding the indiscriminate use of painkillers, specifically Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs), and antibiotics. The circular highlights the severe medical risks associated with the unregulated and over-the-counter consumption of these medicines, explicitly linking their unchecked use to the development and acceleration of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
