I watched and recorded Somali women tell Katie that she couldn’t bring her kids to their publicly funded daycare because of how she looks they then gestured at her blonde hair. Katie asked if it’s because she’s white and blonde and the woman replied yes.

I personally do not believe that the protest cultures are leading to a good place in Portland or Seattle.
I understand some people wanting to meet the Antifa type folks with their own energy. Look— I’m not saying they don’t deserve it. But, I am a firm believer that we shouldn’t stoop to their levels. With that said, I’d never discourage anyone from defending themselves.
But, the protest scene is not worth anyone (right or left) getting hurt or going to jail over. And I’ve seen a lot of that this past summer and into the fall.
I’d never say the right wingers shouldn’t protest simply, because they know the left will come start a riot over it. It’s ridiculous that angry leftist mobs chase people around in attempts to strip people of their first amendment rights. This must not be tolerated. Long standing toleration of such insanity had a lot to do with me leaving the Democratic Party.
I myself have been a victim of randomly being physically attacked by the Antifa type folks. (On multiple occasions.) I am fully aware of how quickly they escalate and I am familiar with their tactics.
I don’t know what the solution is. All I know is that I am worried. I am worried about protestors safety and the safety of the general public.
I am genuinely worried someone will end up dead or in prison. At our current trajectory both are more likely to happen than not, imo.
The left brutally attacked @ApostateAri and @legaltweetz in Seattle this past summer. They then literally tried to KILL @Tommy4Trump420 with a baseball bat not long after. (Feel however you want about Tommy and his tactics— he did not deserve to have a baseball bat swung at his head in attempts to kill him.)
PEOPLES LIVES ARE LITERALLY ON THE LINE! This isn’t a joke. This is societal rot.
I just want everyone to be safe and for the general public to not have to deal with riots.

You knock on the door of a taxpayer-funded public business to ask questions and immediately get attacked and degraded. Some people want to pretend this is just about race. Fine. They also made it about who she is not: not Somali, not covered, not one of them.
This is the United States of America, ma’am. Discrimination based on race or religion is illegal. These are not private living rooms. They are publicly funded businesses. The owner’s identity does not give them the right to decide which families are allowed through the door. If a White business were refusing services to Black families, I would lose my shit too.
