Today one Russian paper claims “Russia’s military has been given political blank cheque to carry out full demilitarisation & deindustrialisation of Ukraine.” But nothing in the papers from Irkutsk, where there have been reports of a potentially “dangerous infection.” #ReadingRussia

You are disingenuous and a liar. Russia has said what it will take in order to for negotiations to be taken serious. These points have been made clear. Tell the truth, Steve. If you need help, see every peace negotiation since 2014.

Why would they agree to a ceasefire and allow Ukraine to regroup and rearm without a peace negotiation? Angela Merkel let that cat out of the fucking bag a long time ago.

To try and see things from the Russians’ point of view: if they are looking for a solution that is in Russia’s best interests, wouldn’t that not consist of getting rid of Mr Putin?

BREAKING: 5 hospitals have been closed for quarantines in Siberia due to a possible plague outbreak. The 28-year-old lab technician Darya Shipilova, died yesterday after breaking a test tube with live Yersinia pestis the Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute on September 25th while handling samples. A mask mandate has now been introduced at the huge aluminum plant in Irkutsk. Some U.S. politicians are now calling for commercial air travel to and from Russia to be stopped until the situation is clarified. This first symptoms of pneumonic plague typically start about 4 to 7 days after exposure. 200 people are under observation.

#ReadingRussia is always fascinating. Another layer is what can be reconstructed from #Russia’s own corporate, regulatory and procurement records. We’ve been using those traces to investigate the people and companies behind Russian military technology — including, most recently, the Kurier combat UGV: x.com/InformNapalm/status/21…
Russia is already airdropping its Kurier combat UGV from Il-76 aircraft. But who stands behind the electronics linked to its developers? InformNapalm traced dozens of declarations, Chinese companies, product models, a contract and an invoice — with the paper trail leading to Shenzhen. informnapalm.org/en/nrtk-kur… #OSINT #Russia #China

"Political blank cheque" could be considered Moscow ordering the military to ignore all laws of war. Such an order would, in itself, be a war crime.

Local online outlets are covering it. IrCity reporters checked Irkutsk City Hospitals No. 1, 3, 9 and 10 on 5 Oct and found no quarantine in place.
IrCity reporters checked Irkutsk city hospitals No. 1, 3, 9 and 10 on 5 Oct and found no quarantine at any of them, contradicting earlier reports that No. 1, 3 and 10 had closed. IrCity says mask requests there are for seasonal flu. Source: IrCity t.me/ircity_ru/59772

1. Journalism in the West has been replaced by hired narratives and that reporters report the narrative that they are hired to tell. It is a new form of vanity press in which interest groups hire a propaganda service to market their agenda.

Brits being the insouciant people they are do not well serve their independence and their country’s sovereignty. Their insouciance makes them easily led by the many rings in their noses to act in the interest of others instead of in their own interest, just as they
