One issue I have with the Feds philosophy is that raising interest rates likely has an indeterminate effect on the supply side of the economy. Raising rates dampens investment, which slows growth of new supply/services. If demand remains constant then lower supply creates more inflation. We studied in MBA school how some international governments have tried rent controls to improve consumer housing prices. As you know, these rent controls have the exact opposite effect since the controls actually drive certain suppliers out of business and there are less apartments available. Less supply creates further inflation in rent. The exact opposite of what the policy intended. It seems to me that the Fed doesn’t truly know if their manual pricing of short term rates could be having a similar unintended impact on the economy. If so, the scale of that impact is far greater than the case studies we read about in school. Terrifying.

America’s corporate governance system is broken, and it’s killing public companies. Look no further than Cracker Barrel: Decades of brutal mismanagement have seen one incompetent CEO after another walk away with a massive paycheck while customers and actual shareholders take a beating. Why does this keep happening? Because proxy advisory firms like ISS are corrupt. They blindly rubber-stamp failing boards year after year, protecting the corporate elite while burning shareholder value to the ground. The root of the rot is index funds. There's no question that indexing one's money is a smart financial move for most people. But just because you passively index your investments doesn't mean your corporate votes should be handed over to the managers of your fund so they can play politics. Right now, passive funds hold massive, unchecked voting blocks while having zero skin in the game themselves. It is time for a simple rewrite of the rules: We need to index the votes of index fund investors. Passive index funds should be forced to automatically split their votes to proportionately mirror those of retail and active institutional shareholders — the people actually doing the research, risking their capital, and fighting for performance in the companies they hold shares in. No more rubber-stamping. A change like this will immediately strip corrupt gatekeepers like ISS of their toxic influence. True accountability happens when lazy, overpaid boards actually answer to the stakeholders they represent, rather than screwing them over. Actual, logic-driven governance when your money is passive happens when your vote passively follows the voting decisions of the actual market. We need to stop letting passive capital protect active incompetence. By stripping index funds of their arbitrary voting power and empowering engaged investors, we will finally torch corporate cronyism and usher American capital markets into a golden age of capitalism.

Meryl Streep is a brilliant actress. That isn't the point. C.S. Lewis wrote Aslan as Christ. Male. He. The Son of the Emperor-Over-the-Sea. Netflix has chosen a woman to give voice to that explicitly male Christ figure. This doesn't happen in a cultural vacuum. For years, Hollywood has been deliberately breaking the connection between biological sex, gender and identity, particularly in stories presented to children. Male becomes female. Female becomes male. And eventually the audience is expected to pretend there are no differences. As if they weren't there. Now that treatment has reached Aslan, one of the most recognizable representations of Jesus Christ in children's literature. This is not “artistic vision.” This switch from male to female of a representation of Christ in literature is both disrespectful of C.S. Lewis' original work and and the man himself. At what point does “inclusion” become the deliberate erasure of the source material, and a mockery of the Christian faith at its center?

Minimum wage in 1963 in the US was $1.25 That was 5 silver quarters. Today the melt value of those 5 silver quarters is $57.90. Instead, US Federal minimum wage is $7.25 That's the whole ruse...that's the whole game. @wbmosler

After a year of intense daily bipartisan negotiations, this bill is ready. Here is the final text. President Trump voluntarily agreed to new ethics provisions holding every federally elected official, judge, and their spouses to some of the toughest ethics restrictions in U.S. history. This new text includes more than 120 of Democrats' demands. A no vote on Tuesday means opposing real ethics reforms on politicians' personal investments, handing American leadership in digital assets to our foreign competitors, and leaving Americans with zero protections in the digital asset markets. Democrats got what they wanted; now they need to take yes for an answer. Here's the latest: lummis.senate.gov/press-rele…

September 10, 2025, changed America’s history forever. One year ago, our founder, our leader, and our friend, Charlie Kirk, was assassinated while doing what he had devoted his life to: standing before young Americans and challenging them to think, to speak, and to have the courage to stand for what they believe. There are no words that can adequately describe what this past year has been like. We have had to learn how to carry on without the person who was at the center of everything we do. We have celebrated milestones that Charlie should have been here to celebrate. We have stood on stages where his voice should have been heard. We have watched his children grow without their father there to see it. And we have felt the weight of his absence in ways that never seem to get easier. For the people who knew and loved Charlie, September 10 will never simply be an anniversary. It is the day our lives were changed forever. Today, our hearts are especially with Erika, Charlie’s children, the Kirk family, and the countless people who loved him. No organization, movement, or mission can replace what was taken from them. We will never forget the unimaginable loss they continue to carry. But we also remember Charlie for how he lived. Charlie’s faith was at the center of who he was. He believed deeply in God and trusted that his life was guided by a meaningful purpose. Charlie’s faith in Christ was his armor, which no assassin could overcome. He believed in life everlasting, and it was this unshakable faith that gave him a courage that was impossible to miss. He was willing to walk into difficult rooms, have uncomfortable conversations, and stand firmly for what he believed because he wanted others to know the hope and truth he had in Jesus. Charlie died a martyr for Christ. Charlie believed America was worth fighting for, that young people could change the course of a nation, and that speech would only remain free if exercised. Always leading by example, he was fearless in the pursuit of truth—no matter the cost. No one taught this generation how to fight the good fight better than Charlie Kirk. Turning Point shares those beliefs and will never abandon them. Charlie never gave up, and neither will we. Turning Point will continue to grow and meet milestones that Charlie dreamed of. Today, we are not focused on the chapter numbers, the headlines, or the accomplishments. Today, we remember an incredible patriot, a husband, a father, and a man whose faith gave him the courage to spend his life serving a purpose he believed was bigger than himself. We miss him. We grieve him. And we will never forget him. One year later, Turning Point remains committed to carrying forward the work Charlie began. For Charlie. Always.
