TEXAS IS SHOWING UP.
Harris County cast 104,201 ballots on the very first day of early voting. The old Day 1 record was 63,000 back in 2018. Dallas County cast 76,079. Denton County cast more than 34,700, up from 19,044 in 2018.
Here's why I'm not celebrating yet. The University of Houston just put out a poll with Talarico at 48 and Paxton at 46, and Abbott is only up three. This race is way too close for comfort, and the Democrats are not taking a single day off.
Big turnout only matters if it's OUR turnout. Early voting runs through October 30. Grab your spouse, your neighbor and your buddy from church, and go vote. Do not let Texas turn into California on your watch.
