I’ve read this article twice and still can’t find anyone from the “oil sector” questioning the economics or even quoted. It is only the left-wing ENGO Pembina Institute that questions the economics of a pipeline in this article 🧐

Nenshi is a pathological liar. He literally can’t help himself. The referendum question on immigration asks if temporary guest workers and students should pay a portion of their own health care costs while living here. Just like in EVERY OTHER COUNTRY ON EARTH, including countries like the United Kingdom. Honestly, this guy has no qualms about repeating lie after lie over and over in hopes of deceiving folks for votes. Gross.

Double edged sword here. The reason why we keep leading in growth is because our economy is simply stronger than any other province with higher incomes and more employment opportunities. The problem is we need to control our immigration levels so it’s sustainable, focused on economic needs and prioritizes Albertans and Canadians for new jobs first and foremost before looking for outside help. Vote yes to the 5 immigration questions on the October 19 referendum so the GOA has the clear mandate to do exactly that.

Living on top of an ocean of energy means Albertans should directly benefit when fuel prices are high. Pausing the fuel tax for the duration of this oil price spike will be one of those benefits.

There is not a single individual who has done more than Danielle Smith to try to show by actual actions - as opposed to useless rhetoric and slogans - that Albertans can have hope again in their country, and can still thrive as a part of it. - Trudeau’s 9 bad laws - gone. - West Coast Pipeline - Oct 1 MPO approval. - Return of provincial authority on electricity and energy projects - Alberta economy entering a boom - Heritage Fund doubled - 6 straight balanced budgets - Etc, etc She hasn’t convinced everyone by any means but she continues to work at it while showing nothing but compassion and understanding for those that still disagree in hopes they may one day be convinced. The problem with lefties like Nenshi, Braid and Lukaszuk is they talk a big game about national unity, but they do the square root of jack squat to help acknowledge and address the grievances underlying the problems that have alienated so many Albertans. And then they vilify the one who is. Predictable, Hypocritical and Pathetic…

But the media told me Danielle Smith was traitorous for taking this same position… Something about taxing ourselves being a self destructive response to tariffs…and that perhaps a better option is to patiently play the long game, support affected workers in the interim and continue diplomacy with the American people & their representatives who are overwhelmingly unsupportive of tariffs on Canada.

Another big win for Alberta. This will drastically cut costs and uncertainty for our energy and electricity sectors. Still more work ahead to undo the host of bad laws and economic policies of the Trudeau years…but it’s exciting to see real progress. Onward!

Danielle Smith was once called an extremist for relentlessly making this exact argument during the Trudeau years. It would appear she has won the debate…

It’s so gratifying to see a true national consensus (minus the NDP of course) to develop Canada’s unmatched natural resources. Things aren’t perfect by any means, but we are finally moving in the right direction by any objective measure. Canada is a sleeping economic giant. If we get to work on developing our treasure trove of resources - that combined with our educated workforce and reputation for stability and rule of law - will turn us into a true economic powerhouse. Over to you Alberta NDP…remind me again how school choice and the new back to basics curriculum are hurting Alberta student learning? Best results in Canada, 8th best in the world. And climbing. Alberta is still healing from 4 years of NDP rule. This is just the latest proof point.

Just a little reminder that the relationship between the Canadian and American people is far stronger and enduring than politicians and trade disputes. There is no doubt in my mind that it will ultimately be the long standing friendship between our peoples that will ultimately end the current trade war.

Two Trudeau appointees that collect their massive pay checks, and eventually their gold plated pensions, with zero accountability to the Albertans they theoretically represent. I spoke with our American friends through CNBC this morning. My message: this continent has everything it needs to achieve North American security and independence in energy, critical minerals and the supply chains both our economies run on. Canada has the resources. The United States has the refining and manufacturing capacity to add two or three times their value and export those products around the world. That partnership adds millions of jobs to the U.S. economy and strengthens American trade surpluses with other countries. Every day we spend arguing about tariffs is a day we hand ground to countries that are not our allies. Neither nation can afford the job losses and increased consumer costs of continuing the fight on trade. Let’s get back to the negotiating table, get to a deal and move forward.

For all of you with American friends, family and colleagues in the U.S., this is the message to share. The more hearts and minds of Americans we change, the higher the chance their leaders will follow.

Heritage Fund set to surpass $35 billion next year. Remarkable achievement as this means it has been doubled in just 5 years under the leadership of @ABDanielleSmith and @stephenharper at AIMCO. We are ahead of schedule to reach $250 Billion by 2050. And we have to get there. When we do we will never again be reliant on royalty revenues to balance the books or keep the Alberta Tax Advantage!
