It's not a joke. You don't say shit like that.

One of the hardest birds you can photograph in North America. It's always a mental chess game to close the distance on the belted kingfisher in hopes of getting any good shots. These birds 100% laugh at your failures.

Marine wildlife like dolphins are very tough to photograph above water so don't beat yourself up too much. The window to get them is incredibly small.

"Incredibly small" is the perfect description for the photos I got on the whale-watching cruise I took (just a 2 or 3 hour one, not a Cruise cruise). Me showing pix: "Check out the microscopic whales!"

Trump administration refuses international election monitors for first time in over 2 decades. The decision not to invite observers from the OSCE puts the U.S. alongside Russia and Belarus, while the Justice Department prepares to deploy its own poll monitors. ms.now/news/trump-midterms-o…

We've seen how far Trump will go to overturn an election.

Oh the irony of you using a gif of Captain America.

Then why have our elections been more fundamentally called into question in the last 20 years since these “observers” have been in place? Next answer moron

Because Trump is a sore loser and his followers believe every lie he says.

I guess they didn’t do their job in 2020

2020 was legit but Trump is a whining sore loser who just never quits.

So we’d want foreign countries to oversee our elections because foreign countries are making bomb threats?
2

All foreign countries are not identical. Hope this helps.

A simile is a metaphor using like or as. If you don’t know what a simile is why should I trust your judgement on international election oversight?

The former connotes a level of administration. The latter observation for transparency but without an active role otherwise. You see how those are distinct?

I'm not sure this guy can follow "former" and "latter."

Trump allowed it before, why stop it now? What’s changed?

Trump has sure done a great job of dividing America. Disgraceful.

Why would a legal citizen be fearful of voting because ICE is there?

Because they've already shot American citizens to death, that's why. Didn't Fox News cover that?

That’s nice but we’re a constitutional republic. It would be good if you knew the difference.

A constitutional republic IS a type of democracy. Saying it's not is like saying, "That's not a dog, it's a beagle!"
7
I’m just waiting for a reasonable argument for having foreign governments oversee our election results.

1 Question. Is there a more annoying ad than Kars for Kids or more stupid ones than Liberty Mutual’s? Emus running around and parachuting, sponge-like yellow round things (?) talking to people in cars, guys falling into the Hudson River. Are these ads supposed to inspire

Fuck Samuel Alito and this bullshit argument. Marriage is not just some private religious ceremony. The government attaches real, tangible benefits to it: tax treatment, inheritance rights, Social Security benefits, health insurance protections, property rights, hospital access, immigration benefits, and a mountain of other legal advantages. So spare me the claim that same-sex marriage is somehow an affront to “religious liberty.” Your religion does not get to decide which American citizens qualify for government benefits. If they genuinely believe marriage should belong exclusively to religion, fine. Then take government out of marriage completely. No married filing jointly. No spousal tax breaks. No government-recognized marital status. Every American files separately, pays separately, inherits under the same rules, and receives exactly the same treatment regardless of whether some church considers them married. Then marriage can be whatever religious ceremony people want it to be. But you do not get to keep every government benefit of marriage for heterosexual couples while telling gay Americans that recognizing their marriages somehow violates somebody else’s religion. That isn’t religious liberty. That’s using religion as an excuse to give one group of citizens government privileges that another group is forbidden from accessing. If marriage comes with government benefits, then equal protection means those benefits cannot be reserved for the couples Samuel Alito personally finds acceptable.
