I do want to say I’m disappointed by how Special Government Employees, not just myself, have been treated in public discourse. The SGE program exists so that talented private citizens can serve their country without leaving their lives behind. We as a nation can find a better way to welcome those who want to serve their country.

Look, if I lived in Florida, I'd sing DeSantis's praises as a GOVERNOR too (for the most part) but that's as a RED state Gov, with a supportive Legislature.
That's a sweet deal for a R politician.
I'd call it a cocoon. A safe space. A silo.
It obscures the vision beyond and for a politician gives them a false sense of ability and success.
I would have thought that the run for '24 would have been a huge dose of reality for RDS et al.
Evidently not.
Now with the "news" of Alito's supposed retirement next June...I see the usual suspects promoting RDS as some kind of strong staunch originalist for SCOTUS.
Take a beat.
This is a man, who believed those Never Trumper Bush world consultants and allowed them to convince him he could beat Trump.
He swallowed that whole.
...and got humiliated.
I don't know what RDS's future should be but he's not sitting on the High Court in a Black Robe getting his arm twisted at DC Cocktail parties while his wife swans around pretending she's FLOTUS.

Xavier Becerra is responsible for more government fraud than anyone else alive.
As HHS secretary, he transferred 76 of the 80 people working in the department’s anti-fraud unit. And he switched to a failed policy called “pay and chase” — pay the fraudsters FIRST, then try to claw the money back later.
California’s taxpayers deserve a governor who stops the theft, not the Sacramento machine that opened the door to it.
