They get up and walk out of the hall when Netanyahu stands up, then they want a seat at the table the minute the cameras are off.
Saudi Arabia is the one that makes it strange, because it is not Ireland and it isn’t South Africa. This is a country that has spent the last few years talking quietly about security, about Iran, about what happens if the Houthis keep shooting, about whether the next arrangement with Israel is even possible. You do not get to do that and also perform the walkout as if you are still in 1973.
A demand is not a right. If you cannot sit in the room while the man speaks, you do not get to draft the terms of the conversation afterward.
The rest of them I understand. They came for the ritual. Saudi coming for the ritual and then expecting to be treated as a serious partner is the part that is crazy. You can hate the speech. You can even hate the man. What you cannot do is empty the chair for the cameras and keep the file open for the things you want from us.
This is exactly why I don’t care if they ever join the Abraham Accords or not. Saudi is no different in any way to Qatar or Turkey or Iran. They’re just as evil.
And to be honest, I couldn’t care less if the Houthis blow their shit up. Let them kill each other. Let the Houthis blow up the Kaaba. The region will be better off.

Trump’s Board of Peace has unveiled a six-month plan covering 66 projects in Gaza, including $885 million for “peace and security” and hundreds of millions more for shelters, housing and hospitals.
But there is one rather large problem:
Hamas has not disarmed.
The International Stabilization Force has not even entered Gaza. Its commander says Gaza still contains hundreds of miles of tunnels, underground facilities and tens of thousands of weapons.
The overall reconstruction bill is estimated at $71.4 billion.
So the fundamental question remains:
Do you rebuild Gaza first and hope Hamas eventually disarms, or disarm Hamas first so you don’t end up rebuilding the infrastructure for the next war?
