First off McBride is coming off a game in week 1 against the Los Angeles Chargers where he finished with 9 receptions on 13 targets which was the highest on the team and is higher than his average of 9.9 targets per game from last season. Keep in mind that Arizona surprisingly was also leading the entire game and ended up winning 26-14 in a negative game script for Trey. On Sunday they’re actually 4 point underdogs against the Seahawks and when the Cardinals are 4 point underdogs or higher he’s over this line in his last 11/12 games averaging over 9 receptions per game. Jacoby Brissett also has a 34.5 pass attempts line so the books are definitely predicating him to sling it plus the last time he played the Seahawks he threw the ball 44 times. When Brissett throws the ball 35+ times, Trey is over this line in his last 8/9 games. It’s not just the possible game script that makes us want to back McBride tomorrow but it’s overall also the matchup as the Seahawks allowed the 6th most receptions to opposing TE’s last season. Currently Tua Tagovailoa and Michael Penix Jr have both been ruled out for this Sunday meaning Cooper Rush will be starting at QB for the Falcons once again. Guess who Rush’s favorite target in week 1 was… you probably guessed it right, it was easily Bijan. This makes us love the receiving upside here as last week when Rush was the starter Bijan led the team in receiving yards, targets, and receptions. He ended up with 90 receiving yards on 8 receptions and saw 10 targets. We all know how talented Bijan really is but these numbers for any RB are just insane. Like it wasn’t even close when it came to these stats compared to the rest of the team as Atlanta’s 2nd highest receiver that game was Drake London with just 2 catches for 29 yards and saw just 5 targets. With even just 5+ targets Bijan is over this line in his last 6 STRAIGHT and last 8/10 games averaging 168.8 rush+rec yards per game. Alright now that we got the receiving portion out of the way let’s talk about the rushing part. So in week 1 along with all of his crazy receiving stats and usage, the Falcons also used Bijan in the run game a lot as well as he put up 83 rushing yards on 21 carries. Keep in mind this was against a solid Steelers run defense plus Atlanta was trailing the entire game as well. Now he gets a matchup against the Carolina Panthers who rank 26th in rushing yards allowed to opposing RB’s and last week in an absolute shootout game versus the Bears allowed their RB1 Deandre Swift 124 rushing yards and their RB2 Kyle Monangai 100 rushing yards. Even last season this Carolina defense was one of the worst in the league as they got crushed by so many other RB’s as well, resulting in them to go over their respective rush+rec lines ⬇️ - Bucky Irving: 98 yards / 80.5 line ✅ - Rashaad White: 41 yards / 22.5 line ✅ - Zach Charbonnet: 122 yards / 45.5 line ✅ - Blake Corum: 81 yards / 37.5 line ✅ - Christian McCaffrey: 142 yards / 121.5 line ✅ - Alvin Kamara: 115 line / 52.5 line ✅ In his most recent game versus the Panthers which was back in January of last year he ended the game with a total of 143 scrimmage yards and has gone over this line in his last 2/4 games versus them putting up 105+ total yards in each game. One of those games he played just 56% of the snaps so you can’t even count that one too much. The Falcons are currently 2.5 point underdogs but honestly I think they have the potential to come out and win this game on Sunday. Either it’ll be a close game or they’ll be leading, I think the Panthers are getting a bit too much hype here after their game on Sunday. Bijan is over in his last 3 STRAIGHT games when the Falcons are 2.5 point underdogs putting up 173, 229, and 175 total yards.
