But consumer advocates argue the novel technology is “too risky” and will come at a “massive” cost to ratepayers. The wide-ranging House GOP priority measure creates a 20% tax credit for manufacturers of small modular nuclear reactors, or SMRs. Another provision would let public utilities ask for permission from utility regulators to spend money on SMRs and recover their costs before getting certificates of public convenience and necessity. House Bill 1007, authored by Rep. Ed Soliday, R-Valparaiso, was heard and amended in the House utilities committee Tuesday. A vote to advance the legislation to the full chamber is expected next week. Legislation similar to Soliday’s — Senate bills 423 and 424 — would create SMR pilot programs and allow utilities to shift research and development costs on to Hoosier ratepayers. INDIANA The Indiana House passed a bill on Thursday that aims to help ensure AI data centers coming into the state have the massive amount of power they need — primarily by subsidizing small nuclear plants and keeping coal plants online. House Bill 1007 would allow an Indiana utility to pass along some of the cost of developing a small modular nuclear reactor to its customers — even if the plant never gets finished. So far, none of the ones in the U.S. have. You Have To Understand The Agenda Here The pool system is not about journalism. It is about content monopoly. And the White House just broke the monopoly. When all five legacy networks ABC, CBS, CNN, NBC, and Foxsimultaneously suspend pool coverage of a sitting president, that's not a boycott. That's an organized signaling event. And the fact that they did it over the White House revoking access to CNN, MS-NOW, and Politico tells you exactly who's calling the shots. The media pool isn't walking out to protest press freedom. They're walking out because the White House just severed their operational cover. What occurred today is not a press freedom protest. It is not a boycott. It is not five separate news organizations independently arriving at the same principled decision within hours of each other. What occurred today is a coordinated operational stand-down issued through a backchannel that predates the current administration by decades the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) internal command loop, which has functioned as a de facto intelligence community coordination node since the Cold War era and has never been formally disconnected from Langley's media assets division. INDIANA Federal Judge rules the Indiana Economic Development Corporation is a “Private Entity”. The IEDC mislead the public on their role with our tax dollars. You will meet a victim that has filed a TORT notice against the State of Indiana, IEDC, and Michael Andretti over a $100 million+ “deal”. It’s complex with the layers of players, but we’ll break it down to more readily understand the timetables and the involvement of the IEDC and the private businesses. Hoosiers are the investors, but are reaping zero return on these alleged investments and absorbing all liabilities.
