A video circulating online appears to show a fan being removed from an Edmonton Oilers game, with the post claiming it happened after he waved an Alberta flag.
If that is the full story, Canadians deserve to know why.
An Alberta flag represents a Canadian province. It shouldn’t automatically be treated as something offensive, controversial, or unacceptable simply because some people associate it with a political movement.
At the same time, I haven’t found an official statement confirming that the flag itself was the reason for the removal, so that part of the viral claim should be treated cautiously until Rogers Place, the Oilers, or police clarify what happened.
That clarification matters.
Were there other behavioural issues? Was there a specific arena policy being enforced? Or was somebody genuinely removed simply for displaying the provincial flag?
Canadians should be able to ask those questions without immediately being dismissed.
🇨🇦 Since when did waving an Alberta flag at an Alberta hockey game become controversial?
If there’s more to the story, release it. If there isn’t, Canadians have every right to be concerned.

When the RCMP and the media lied and downplayed the transgender identity of the Tumbler Ridge murderer, I was the only elected official in the country to sound the alarm. Today we learn that a second transgender individual has been arrested in Washington State for colluding with the killer. The two reportedly met on a website now shut down for the sexual exploitation of minors.
Eight innocent lives have already been tragically lost.
How much longer will Canadians deny the ties between transgender ideology and violent extremism?
We must name the threat if we want to stop it.
The NDP enabled the Tumbler Ridge shooting by pushing gender ideology onto children and recklessly returning seized guns to a home with a history of violence.
David Eby blamed OpenAI.
I asked him why, but his Minister cried "hate!" instead of explaining.
