Gonna be a late night processing meat. Cant wait to eat mule deer stew full of home grown home canned veggies(minus peas) and our daughter famous home and sour dough. Gonna sleep good once we get to go to bed!

Long day scouting hunting spots. We only seen one big beautiful black bear, let it go this time, then grouse and didn’t take any of them either. Since we had cowboy steak and potato waiting to be cooked. A few bevy’s bed then up and at it again tomorrow. What a great day!

You need a pressure canner for any meat you can or low acid vegetables. Anything else can be canned in a water bath canner like pickles peaches or tomatoes. It really is a huge savings in food and way healthier than anything you buy in a grocery store

Potatoes definitely need to be peeled before pressure canned. I can everything people need to make sure they use a pressure canner for certain foods. It is a lot of work but the convenience later is so worth it.
