Around these parts we love the LDS Church, sustain the Prophet and vote for the Democrats. You should too.

I will never understand the people who say "well, I didn't like Trump but I supported his policies." His "policies" were even worse than his personality. Just consider the following:

I don't know how you make the word "genocide" meaningless, but these guys managed to do it. If only they condemned Hamas terrorists with the same energy
Pro-Palestinian protesters gather outside City Hall to call out Mayor Zohran Mamdani for what they see as his betrayal of the movement. "Mayor Mamdani, you can't hide we charge you with genocide" was a chant that just rang out.

There was a moment in 2016 when the GOP gave off a small, last glimmer of hope. Sadly that hope, like Mike Lee's hair, has disappeared.
10 years ago today GOP Sen. Mike Lee: “If anyone spoke to my wife, or my daughter, or my mother, or any of my five sisters, the way Mr. Trump has spoken to women, I wouldn’t hire that person, wouldn’t want to be associated with that person, and I certainly don’t think I’d be comfortable hiring that person to be the leader of the free world.”

One of the smartest things rich people ever did was create a tax payer-funded coupon program for themselves, then convince the middle class to support it by calling it "school vouchers".

At the heart of White Nationalism is actually a deep sense of American INFERIORITY. That our children can't compete with migrants. That our culture can't compete with the culture these migrants fled. Nonsense. Our people and our culture are the best in the world.
Replying to @billybinion
The kind of person who believes our children should compete with the entire world, hates our children.

American children can compete with the world as long as we don't coddle them, Bo

Good thing they didn't sell any paintings or Republicans would be big time mad
An ABC News analysis found defense companies backed by President Trump's sons have now raked in more than $6 billion dollars in active or promised government contracts since those investments were made, according to government data. Read more: abcnews.link/I6Efk6P

Oct 7 was a horrific tragedy and a blatant act of war. The failure of the Pro-Palestinian movement to condemn Hamas and demand their surrender is why the entire movement has been a moral and political failure.

At this point, you could make an entire Klan clan out of Republican comms directors
NEW: Republican Congressman Ryan Mackenzie’s comms director belonged to a college group chat where people joked about statutory rape, Asian children eating puppies, Black people not knowing their fathers, and Adolf Hitler achieving total extermination of the Jewish people.

As a Latter-day Saint, do we really want to give local planning and zoning boards the power to keep churches they disagree with out of city limits?
Levin: We've almost 4,000 mosques in America! It's the zoning boards, the planning boards, Democrat cities, Democrat states, Texas, Florida…. It’s strategic!

Had a small electrical repair issue that was a bit beyond my comfort level and reached out on the ward page to see if anyone from Church could come help me fix it tonight... Had five brothers volunteer to come over tonight within twenty minutes. Being LDS is a cheat code

I concede when Trump said "a small price to pay" he was talking about gas prices And that his larger point was that he didn't want Iran to nuke US cities. But he clearly said "let em take Los Angeles" as a joking aside. Sort of a "save everyone but the lawyer" kind of joke

And the truth behind that joke is bad. It is bad to joke about indifference to the death of Americans just because they disagree with you politically. It is really bad coming from the President And it is worse that the crowd got the "bomb the libs" joke and cheered.

Ted Cruz lost native born Texans in 2018. He won because of people who had moved to Texas from some where else. This is a flawed analysis.
Around 25% of the Texas electorate is now either first or second generation immigrant. Without mass migration, there would be no question of someone like James Talarico winning a statewide election there. He is only a viable candidate because the state has imported new voters. So when I say that immigration is THE existential political issue we are facing, this is the kind of thing I’m talking about.

"Let em eat cake!" Republicans: "Marie is actually saying people shouldn't eat cake. How the dare the liberal and the fake news smear Marie. She loves this country and would never insinuate that she is indifferent to their suffering" If Republicans were alive in the 1790s

Hilarious to watch all these Conservatives pretend that Donald Trump would never, ever, say something mean about Los Angeles. Why, he loves LA, dontchaknow?

Maybe if Trump could speak coherently and stop trying to justify his Iran War that raised prices on thousands of things for Americans with apocalyptic fear mongering and garbled syntax he wouldn’t have to worry about being misinterpreted or taken out of context.

MAGA resolves Trump’s contradictions by treating his words as infinitely flexible: literal when convenient, metaphorical when embarrassing, and “taken out of context” when indefensible. It’s an escape hatch from ever having to hold him accountable for what he actually says.
OMG. Every leftist is going to go nuts with this and it’s because he isn’t speaking clearly. He starts by saying higher prices (presumably gas) are small price to pay for keeping the world safe. Then he pivots to saying (and the phrasing is terrible) “They can take out a city. Let ’em take— let ’em take out Los Angeles. Let ’em take out San Diego. This is a very small price to pay, and it’s going to be over very soon.” HE’S NOT SAYING THAT LETTING IRAN TAKE OUT LA OR SAN DIEGO IS A SMALL PRICE TO PAY. He’s saying “(if we) let them do that you’ll see why higher prices are a small price to pay to win (so they can’t do something like that.)” It’s a ramble, but it’s clearly what he means. He’s not advocating for the destruction of American cities, even in California. FFS. Even Grok is arguing with me about this, but you have to speak Trump. I’m 💯 right, and it’s not even up for debate.

He didn’t tell Iran to take out Los Angeles and San Diego. He didn’t call troops suckers and losers. He wasn’t making fun of that disabled reporter. He didn’t say we should send gays to Palestine. He didn’t mock John McCain’s POW status. He didn’t rape E. Jean Carroll. He didn’t say grab them by the pussy. He didn’t cheat on all three of his wives. He didn’t go into locker rooms to watch teenage girls undress. He didn’t do any of those things or the 1000s of other things he’s on video doing. He’s a gem. Basically Jesus. We’re the crazy ones.
