Now, far from the noise, in an office with books, (The kind of old office that no one much looks)
Sat a man who read papers that others thought dreary. At a place called ModulusZK, working on theory.
Dr. Jamie Gabbay was his name, by the way. He'd won the Church Prize! For his work with logic, hooray!
One day Jamie stopped. And he scratched at his head. He looked at the shelf. And he saw what it said.
"Hang on," Jamie muttered. "Hang on just a minute. Turing said logic has computation in it!"
"And Gödel agreed! It's right here, yes it's true! Computation IS logic, through and through!"

"But why?" asked a child, who was watching nearby. "Why circuits?" she asked. "Can you tell me just why?"
"Because!" said the grown-ups. "Now shush, go away. This is how it is done. There is no other way."
The systems were slow. The systems cost money. The engineers' salaries? Not at all funny.
But everyone nodded and said "This is fine. This is just how you prove things. Get back in line."

Now, years later, a problem arose. (The kind of problem that keeps you on your toes.)
"How do we prove that our sums are all right, Without showing our work? Keep the numbers from sight?"
"We need special proofs! The zero-knowledge kind! Where you prove that you're honest but hide what's behind!"
So the experts got busy. They worked and they toiled. They built complex systems. Their brains were all broiled.
"First, take your code," said the experts with pride, "And turn it to circuits!" (Their chests puffed up wide.)
"Then turn those to polynomials, big ones and small, And THEN you can prove things! We've figured it all!"

Then computers arrived! Oh what wonderful toys! They beeped and they booped and made all sorts of noise!
Big ones! Small ones! Fast ones galore! Everyone wanted them more and more!
But somewhere along the way, people forgot The thing about logic that Turing had taught.
"Logic is logic, it sits in a book. Computers are different! Just take a look!"
And up on the shelf, getting dusty and old, Sat the papers of Turing, their wisdom untold.

I believe you should read our paper, as we have been very careful to make sure we maintained the core values. We are using the same logical predicates which Satoshi himself used when describing Bitcoins functionality.

To add some further clarity, Bitcoin is already a logical predicate system. Satoshi noted this himself, we are just calling ours first order logic, as that’s what it is.
Satoshi called it a script ,purely due to that being a more familiar term for programmers to understand.
