Heavy selling → falling bond prices → rising yields → higher borrowing costs. That's the chain reaction hitting global markets right now.
A global bond sell-off resumed on Wednesday, pushing long-term US borrowing costs back to their highest since 2002, as fears over inflation and high public debt burdens rattled investors ft.trib.al/oL3KZkt

FRANCE, GERMANY DIESEL RELEASE MAY INCLUDE NO NEW BARRELS France and Germany say diesel stocks promised under last week’s G7 agreement will largely come from reserves already committed in March, Politico reports, raising questions over how much additional supply will actually reach the market. Germany confirmed it plans no new release, while France could potentially add 2 million barrels beyond its previous commitment but has not made a firm pledge. An emergency IEA meeting is scheduled today to discuss the coordinated release.

Yesterday, @chameleon_jeff took the stage in Singapore and said HIP-4 is the kind of primitive where option-like payout curves can scale to a point where it's useful for users. For now, politics and sports are the largest prediction market categories. But financial markets are the big picture: think fixed-expiry binaries, touch contracts, and short-duration payoffs across crypto, equities, indices, commodities, and FX. Outcome was built to turn financial views into tradeable contracts beside the positions people express or hedge. Outcome's TWAP-based settlement is also uniquely suited for option-like payout curves. As Hyperliquid raises the infrastructure ceiling, expect us to ship more exotic markets that reflect what traders are interested in. Thank you, Jeff. We'll take it from here 🫡
JUST IN: Prediction market volume in Q3 2026 reached $188 billion, around 21x higher than Q3 2025 and 70% up from the previous quarter. ~40% of that volume came from sports markets Financial markets on Outcome are up next

Israel demolishes homes in Bedouin community of man who evacuated Israeli settlers on 7 October —— Israeli authorities have carried out demolitions in the Arab al-Ziadna area north of Rahat in the Naqab, including property belonging to the family of Yusef Ziadna, a Bedouin bus driver who says he rescued more than 30 Israeli settlers from the Nova festival area on 7 October 2023. According to Radio A-Shams, Ziadna said demolition machinery entered the area on 5 October and began destroying buildings belonging to members of his family, including a structure connected to his brother's sheep farm. Ziadna had been due to appear on the station to recount his rescue efforts but instead invited people to visit the area and see the demolitions. The demolitions are part of a wider campaign targeting Bedouin communities in the Naqab, particularly villages that Israeli authorities do not recognize. Local reports said residents of Arab al-Ziadna and nearby Umm Nmeila face repeated demolition orders amid disputes over land ownership and planning, with residents saying they are seeking to remain on their ancestral lands rather than be relocated. Israeli authorities have previously forced members of the Ziadna family to demolish homes themselves or face demolition costs and fines. Ziadna's account of rescuing more than 30 Israeli settlers on 7 October has previously been documented by The Times of Israel, which reported that he used his minibus to evacuate settlers from the Nova festival area after the attack. The current demolitions have renewed attention on the treatment of Bedouin communities in the Naqab, where residents have faced longstanding disputes with Israeli authorities over recognition, planning and access to their land.
