Refunds are now live for Privacy Hood merchants.
We never custody a sale, and the merchant never learns who paid, so there’s nothing for a server to reverse.
So a refund is a claim link. The merchant funds it, the customer redeems it to any address they choose, and anything unclaimed returns to the payout address automatically.
Full or partial, on any sale, no address ever requested from either side.

Our merchant dashboard could always show you today’s revenue.
Then we added a staff lock, a PIN so a cashier can’t tap into the dashboard where the API keys live.
Problem: the person closing the till at 11pm could no longer count the till. The lock worked but it just locked the wrong thing.
Totals now live on the keypad screen, no PIN. Splits sales from tips, prints a slip with a “Counted by ______” line. Only paid sales count, and anything it can’t re read is flagged unchecked, never assumed.
Every security feature moves work onto someone. Worth checking who.

Our POS treated “wifi is down” and “customer hasn’t paid yet” as the same screen: waiting for payment.
Cashier waits. Customer waits. The screen was never going to flip.
Fixed it. Three failed polls in a row now shows “can’t reach the server,” and it clears the moment the connection’s back.

Privacy Hood tills now take a 4 digit staff lock.
Turning it off needs the PIN too, otherwise the toggle is the bypass.

Customers check out in USDG through a shielded pool, so their wallet is never linked onchain to your store. Orders flip to paid automatically through a signed webhook.
