I was honored to join the community in Columbia County this morning to remember those we lost on that heart-wrenching day 25 years ago which is forever etched in our history. Our thoughts and prayers remain with the victims and all of those impacted on September 11, 2001.

On this day 25 years ago, evil breached our shores and our nation would be forever changed. Thousands of Americans said goodbye to their loved ones not knowing it would be their last. Today, we remember the lives of those who died on September 11, 2001 from terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon in Virginia, on United Airlines Flight 93 which crashed in rural Pennsylvania, and the first responders who charged toward the chaos as others fled to safety. We will never forget.

One year ago today, we lost Charlie Kirk—a devoted husband, father, and man of faith—to an unspeakable act of political violence. We will always remember and uphold Charlie's mission to ensure America lives up to its founding principles. May God continue to grant comfort to his wife, Erika, his children, his family, and all who loved him.

It was great to once again join the annual Toombs, Tattnall, and Evans County Farm Bureau legislative dinner—hosted this year by Toombs County in Lyons. I provided an update on the House-passed Farm Bill. The best way to reinvigorate our farm economy and bring certainty back to rural America is to send a modern Farm Bill that addresses today's challenges to President Trump's desk.

I was proud to support the Working Families Tax Cuts which made this historic investment in rural Georgia possible. This $93.3 million federal investment will help expand coordinated statewide care, strengthen the rural health workforce, and support technology-enabled healthcare access across Georgia.
