They say you're the average of your 5 friends.
Problem for many dads out there is you have very little time for friends.
That's where X can help support fathers striving to be their best.
Men, seek out other men here who inspire you, educate you, compel you to be better.
But before you do this, set aside your pride. Bury the need to compete and be better than everyone. Realize that you don't have all the answers.
For example, I am doing all I can to live a long, healthy life to be there for my kids. But I'm not perfect. I can't do it alone.
There are many guys on this app who challenge me on a daily basis with their amazing content and the example they set.
Here are 5 mutuals who I am privileged to have met virtually here, and hope will meet in real life. Each with how they inspire me.
@hubermanlab - Dr. Andrew has an endless curiosity for scientific-based tools and applying them to his life and sharing them for others to use. He made me carefully consider my relationship with alcohol and many other aspects of my health and wellness habits.
@CoachDanGo - Dan, aside from having a great name, is a daily reminder to me to optimize my health by being careful about the foods I consume. He reminds me to be consistent in my habits and to focus more on food as fuel for performance rather than optimizing for taste.
@tyromper - Tyler claims to be the #1 dad, and honestly he may be in the running. His posts are always a good reminder to me of becoming my best self, but not forgetting to be balanced and loving my family at the same time.
@bryan_johnson - Bryan is a constant stream of novel ways to be even healthier, and if I do even 20% of what he does I'll probably be 80% healthier. My diet, sleep, and relationship with caffeine have all improved thanks to him.
@SahilBloom - I ran one marathon about 20 years ago and still brag about it to this day. I'm pretty sure Sahil completes one every day before most other guys are even awake. And not only is his content inspiring, but he doles out small bites of daily wisdom worth reading.
Thanks guys!
This list is by no means comprehensive. But if I'm anywhere in the league of the average of these 5 men I'll be living a great life.
Who are the 5 people on X you want to be more like?
