My dear, I have seen your post and, knowing you personally and having worked with you before, I was genuinely surprised and saddened that the UIFW artwork made you feel that we had deliberately tried to erase or diminish you. I want to assure you that there was absolutely no such intention. The photograph was selected from our archival runway imagery and treated graphically as part of the visual identity for the UIFW 2026 campaign. The treatment was purely creative and was never intended to disguise you, alter your identity or deny you recognition. I know and respect the contribution you have made to Uganda’s fashion industry, and I would never intentionally disrespect that contribution. There is also some context around that particular runway and image that I believe is much better discussed between us directly rather than through social media. We have known each other for many years, and I would much rather speak with you personally and resolve your concern in that same spirit of mutual respect. We lost touch over the years, then you moved overseas, l unfortunately no longer have your current contact. I would really appreciate it if we can speak directly. 💐❤️
