We should all be worried about "dynamic pricing." That's when companies change their prices in real time. If it's hot out, the cost of ice cream could go up. If it's cold, tea bags could go up. It's a way for giant companies to squeeze you even more.

This is called capitalism. Prices react to supply and demand.

Oh! So the solution is to keep prices always high? No discount for tea bags in summer or ice cream in winter? This is practiced in mini-golf summer ice cream, they just shut down in winter months.

Dynamic pricing is also the reason things become cheaper when not selling or when out of season . Imagine being angry at the clearance rack . Or bakery slashing the rates at end of day to clear out the cakes It cuts both ways. Don't want expensive, you also don't get cheap

If it's cold, ice cream could go down. All prices are dynamic, except for regulated monopolies. The Soviet Union tried central planning on an entire economy once. You should look into how that turned out for the people who lived there.

When Blueberries are in season, prices drop, and I eat more of them. I think it’s a win-win for the farmers and me, and the environment since it helps reduce wastage. A free economy is the most efficient economy.

What a nonsense. Isnt that a basic economy which allow to balance supply and demand? In the contrast with a plan economy which is a communist utopia leading to deficit

Prices should never reflect demand. That's poppycock! I don't want to live in a world where benevolent politicians aren't controlling the pricing of all of our goods.

We should all be worried about sustained government deficit spending. That's when the government spends more than it has by creating more money supply in real time. If its welfare, they'll make more. If its a war, they'll make more. Its a way the welfare/warfare state steals the value of our labors out from underneath us through devaluing those bills that say "In God We Trust".

We should all be worried about politicians that constantly want to interfere in the free exchange of buyers and sellers transacting on discretionary items like ice cream and tea.

Or, and hear me out. We just buy a product when the product is worth the money to us, and abstain from buying the product when the price is too high and/or service is too bad.

We should also be worried about “dynamic wealth accumulation.” That’s when senators accumulate millions and millions of dollars on a salary of $174,000 a year. Audit them all…forensically!

Governor Kathy Hochul and the MTA are charging off peak and peak pricing for trains and their outlandish congestion taxation scheme. Will you work to terminate their funding and rescind their permission to operate until these gross injustices can be corrected?

If only there was a mechanism through which the free market could naturally adjust for high demand and low supply resulting in elevated prices... Oh well. I guess the government will just have to fix it!

Next thing you know they are going to charge more for water at NFL games than in the grocery store and Mercedes will be more expensive than Hyundai. It’s almost like supply and demand relate to price. Prices man. Amiright?

Wal-Mart and Kroger both offer grocery delivery. If you are not a member, Wal-Mart charges $10 per delivery. If you are a member, they charge $12.95 a month ($4.24 a week.) Kroger, using dynamic pricing, offers $0.95 delivery fees - because they charge LESS at non-peak times.
