Windows Vista actually supports the original Intel Pentium 1, just only the motherboard needs to support ACPI.

There now appears to be a “Book386” laptop with VGA, Adlib sound, and PS/2 ports built in.
Previously there was a “Book8088” laptop (with CGA and an 8088 cpu) as well as a “Pocket386”… which is a VGA/386 laptop that is super small. Closer in size to a palmtop PDA.
I have the Pocket386, but it requires using multiple expansion cables to provide PS/2 ports, VGA out and the like.
This new Book386 appears to be roughly the same guts as the Pocket386… but in larger “small laptop” shell. With all of the ports you could ever want built in.
- 386 SX (at 40 MHz).
- 16 MB of RAM (the Pocket386 had 8)
- VGA & Adlib sound card.
- PS/2, VGA, Serial, CF card, Parallel, and (seriously) Ethernet.
- Also has ISA and Floppy drive cables.
- According to the documentation, it has a touchpad mouse that maps to COM2.
No clue what the quality is like (the older Pocket386 is pretty decent), but the price is $300 on Ali Express.
Could make a fantastic dedicated DOS / Win3.1 rig. Tempting.

It’s been a lot of quiet hours behind the scenes, but I'm glad to finally share some solid progress on Raspberry Pi 5 support for ReactOS and WoA.
I’ve officially matched ABI parity of ROS at the NT10 level (at least for the network stack), and the Ethernet driver is completely built and proven working on Windows 11. There is still some work to be done to achieve stable throughput, but hitting this first functional milestone proves the core implementation. The RPi5 UEFI work is also fully finished and will be published soon.
