Nothing XRP holders need to do. Node operators should upgrade to 3.3.0. The flood involved huge numbers of synthetic validator identities and repeated traffic at roughly 100–165 messages per second. That pattern could indicate someone deliberately testing or attacking XRPL’s peer-to-peer network. But there’s no confirmed attribution. Investigators said it may have been either: An intentional denial-of-service attack An experiment that got out of control Importantly, it didn’t compromise wallets, steal keys, alter transactions, halt the ledger or cause a fork.
