After this years election, VAGOP should be doing a post election analysis of the results and what worked and what didn’t. VA10 should be doing the same. In the likely event that they won’t, I’ve already stared 30 days ago and my analysis will run through Election Day. Voters deserve to know. Every year they ask us to play ball and support however we can but when it’s all over we get crickets. Certain people and the inner circles will be even less pleased with me than they already are. I’m pissed off and now disabled, but can still use a computer. We must shine a light on the problems, otherwise how do you fix them?

VA10 needs to do a lot more work on running oppositional interference for Beckwith he can’t do it alone. I started analyzing VA10’s support/activity of Beckwith a month ago and it goes through the day after the election. So far it’s not impressive at all but we have more time. There’s only 2 candidates with Beckwith being the main one for VA10. Why is this important? To shed light on what needs to be done differently in 2027.

Arlington’s Commonwealth’s Attorney testified that her office has a DUI policy specifically for DACA recipients. In a small number of cases, prosecutors have considered changing a DUI to a different first-degree misdemeanor so the defendant can renew DACA status. (We don’t have first-degree misdemeanors - they are called Class 1 misdemeanors - surprised an elected prosecutor doesn’t know that). She says the defendant is still held accountable and the original DUI charge remains visible. But DACA status is a factor in the plea resolution, one that an American citizen charged with the same offense cannot invoke. Well, well, well… now we know why @RepSuhas @SuhasforVA had NEVER acknowledged any American that has been killed by illegals. I’ve been saying for almost a year that @SuhasforVA cares more for illegals than his own constituents.

I was passed these messages from a private Tamil community group. I removed the identity of the H-1B worker because this is not about attacking him. Instead, look at what happened around him. First, he develops an immigration problem after losing his job. Next, someone in the group asks whether they can “steer some help” through Congressman Suhas Subramanyam’s office. Another member says he had just met Subramanyam at an event and could arrange a call. Then, within the same conversation: “I reached out to Suhas and emailed him and forwarded to his immigration team.” — “Connecting his family to Suhas in the morning.” You may have missed it, but the messages say the worker lives in Herndon. Herndon in Virginia’s 11th Congressional District. Subramanyam represents the 10th District. House Ethics guidance says members generally should not devote official resources to casework for people outside their district and can instead refer them to their own representative or senators. I don’t think Subramanyam was summoned based on the district he represents. Remember, this conversation is taking place inside a Tamil community network. So, it’s worth noting that Subramanyam has South Indian family roots, his father grew up in Chennai and he was a congressional co-sponsor of the resolution recognizing Tamil Language and Heritage Month. Sure, we don’t have proof of preferential treatment or what his office ultimately did. But we did get an unusually candid look at how political access in ethnic networks functions: Private ethnic community → personal connection → member of Congress → congressional immigration team. Despite being unable to vote and being out of district, people around him apparently knew exactly who to contact and claimed the personal access to get his case in front of a congressional office. The question I want answered is simple: why was this case being routed through Suhas Subramanyam and what did his office do with it?

Virginian Republicans literally saw their own leaders (@MarkWarner donated $100k to the effort) work to steal their representation … and it passed. The state party can’t just sit on its ass complaining about having no money and expect people to feel inspired. It’s not enough anymore.

11 years we’ve been here … I love this state. The real Virginia and real Virginians are wonderful and worth fighting for. Which is why it confuses and quite honestly pisses me off that we don’t see more from the party.
