It was great seeing Waka Queen, Salawa Abeni when visited me at home in Abuja a couple of days ago. She came with my good friend, Ahmed Lawal, the founder of Hair Sense network of barbing salons and Market Sense network of Supermarkets.

I remember my Glo days vividly. I was asked to meet her with my team to assist with her SIM upgrade. She was incredibly generous and gave me so much money that I was genuinely shocked. What a lovely and kind woman. Some people leave a lasting impression simply through simple act

Mennnn her most of her songs were topnotch then. We could sing both side A and B then. @akinalabi it would be nice if a show can be organised for her just to sing those old songs on stage. It could be a tour of SW. "Ko ma ro, agogo ko ma ro.....Abeni Ade kan Salawatu........

Growing up, her songs misled some of our mothers......."wòn fi owo mungo jè arose oooo, wòn fowo mungu j'òfadaa,wòn atu fowo mungu s"alabarika...those pple died untimely"
