I bet #NAFOfellas will like it! Originally, it’s the iconic painting by Ilya Repin, an Ukrainian artist (russians claim he is… a russian if course), who was born in Chuguiv, Kharkiv region. It depicts Ukrainian Cossacks writing to a Turkish Sultan. The mocking letter is full of

Russia accused Ukraine of having weapon-grade biolabs as one of a dozen justifications for its illegal invasion. Useful idiots like @TulsiGabbard spread that lie. Now, there are hard facts that russia runs weapon-grade biolabs, violating its international commitments. One shouldn’t be surprised if russia develops chemical weapons, too. Russia is a lying and dangerous actor. It’s much wiser to help Ukraine in solving the russian problem than to help putin get out of the corner and pose a threat to our civilisation.
Russia's five-hospital quarantine, FSB involvement, and reported hazmat use in response to the death of a single researcher at a weapons-lineage Irkutsk lab are inconsistent with a lab-acquired plague infection, which would have been treated with prophylactic antibiotics. 1/4

A sober assessment.

Don’t you think it’s a brilliant historical parallel? Putin is not that different to Hitler. A compromise with him means surrender, with dire consequences for Ukraine, Europe, and the world.

‼️ Do sieci trafiły taśmy Grzegorza Brauna.

It’s Ukraine, baby - a country of humans under the assault of beasts.
After a grueling night responding to Russia’s attack on Kyiv, municipal workers stopped at a local café — where they were offered free drinks as a small thank-you for their work. A simple gesture for the crews who spent the night restoring the city after the strikes.

Russia’s war on Europe which Europe tend to ignore.

Murderous savages
In broad daylight, Russia struck a building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in the very heart of Kyiv. Tragically, there are reports of people killed and injured in the attack. There is no bottom to Russia’s cynicism. A scientific institution full of people in the middle of a working day has become another target of its terror. Russia is deliberately expanding the boundaries of what it believes the world will tolerate. Every attack left without a strong response only encourages the next one. Our partners have the means to change this calculation. Ukraine urgently needs more missile interceptors to protect our cities, tougher sanctions to deprive Russia of resources for its war, and stronger pressure on everyone who helps Moscow sustain its killing machine. Russia must learn that every attack has consequences. The price of attacking Ukrainian civilians must become unbearable for the aggressor. We also call upon @UNESCO – the Organization dedicated, among other things, to protecting science and the scientific community – to strip the aggressor state of its voice, voting rights and its eligibility for election to any governing or working bodies.

Savages
‼️Russia has once again brought death to Kyiv. Earlier this morning, I wrote about a boy who was killed. Now, there are four more dead. Now, their lives have been cut short in broad daylight. This is not a movie. This is Kyiv. Ukraine. Today. Russia continues to kill civilians. The world must see this. Russia must be held accountable for every life it has taken.

Russia is a Potemkin village. It’s total fraud, fake and a lie.
Turnout Was Inflated by 17%, United Russia’s Vote by 23% — Experts Estimate According to calculations by Petr Zhizhin, based on the election data he analyzed, Russia’s actual turnout was around 40%, while United Russia received about 35% of valid ballots. Official figures reported by the CEC were significantly higher: 📊 Official turnout — 57% 🐻 United Russia — 58% Based on these estimates, turnout was inflated by around 17 percentage points, while United Russia’s result was increased by around 23% relative to the estimated number of valid ballots. Electoral expert Roman Udot @romanik_ notes that the use of "administrative resource" in Russian elections has traditionally been estimated at around 15–20%. Sadly, it’s true.
Seriously President, why list these events, all of which happened today and then conclude with: "Russia will find our resolve only growing stronger. We are reinforcing our collective deterrence and defence, together with NATO. And we are stepping up the pressure on Russia." These are not commensurate statements. No policy whatsoever follows from today's incidents, each of which are tantamount to war, most of them could have led to the death of European citizens. Spouting more standard European clichés, Russia will "find" nothing about our "resolve growing stronger". Resolve is not a response. These are not "reckless" acts, they are purposive. "Reckless" is doing something accidentally. "Reinforcing collective defence" just says only "We will improve our efforts to shoot down the drones you send into Europe". NOT, alas, "the following are the consequences your brazen attacks". Policy and action, not boilerplate. If I sat in the Kremlin I would be falling out of my chair laughing at what wimps Europeans are, take another swig of vodka, and yell out, "Petya, send another couple of drones to Poland", and turn around (sternly), "Sasha, how come that train derailment today didn't have any casualties?"

Where is the moral clarity of the Western left now? Beyond Slavoj Žižek, of course.
In 1936, Stalin's regime bought France's most celebrated living novelist a private train carriage, a personal escort, and the honour of delivering the funeral oration for Maxim Gorky on Red Square, with Stalin at his side. They expected an endorsement in return. Five months later, he published a book the Kremlin would keep banned in the Soviet Union until 1990. 🧵

Who fights a hybrid war, they win a hybrid peace. Unless we respond kinetically, Russia will continue down the path of escalation
