Officials answered with a grievance for unsportsmanlike conduct and dangled a lifetime ban. After lawyers, months of stress, and a wave of support from other swimmers, she was finally cleared. The process itself was the punishment. U.S. Masters Swimming still lets males race in the women’s category while world bodies move toward sex-based rules. America should lead on women’s rights, not force champions to hire attorneys just to ask for a fair race. Prioritize women in women’s sports. Anything less is surrender.

We have given Tina Kotek enough time to remove or correct her lie. So here’s the facts. Here’s the short version received last night from the person who actually coordinated the roundtable: “December: I’m an Oregon small-business owner who made a viral post about businesses drowning here. I emailed BOTH Kotek and Drazan asking them to meet with business owners. Kotek’s office directed me to an online contact form, which I also submitted. I never received a response. Drazan personally called me. We talked for about 45 minutes, which led to the Feb. 10 roundtable. Feb. 10: I co-hosted the roundtable just 8 days after unexpectedly losing my mom. About 10 business owners from different industries attended. We discussed taxes, payroll costs, regulation, permitting, land use and the realities of trying to operate and grow in Oregon. It was NOT presented to us as a fundraiser or donor event, nor did we donate a dollar to anyone! We brought coffee and donuts! That’s all we contributed to the meeting. Drazan listened and later brought issues we’d discussed into her legislative work. Yes, she missed SB 1527 while meeting with us. She was officially excused, the Senate passed it 29–0, and her vote could not have changed the outcome. She was back at the Capitol that afternoon. March: Drazan brought five of us to the Capitol and arranged 7 meetings with legislators. We learned how to testify and advocate directly. August: She followed up with the roundtable attendees. After reading my response, she personally called me again for about 30 minutes, helped me think through my development/permitting issue and suggested meeting with a county commissioner. I took her advice and have that meeting Sept. 23. So when Kotek’s campaign posted today that Drazan “skipped the vote to meet with business donors,” it pissed me off. I organized that room. We were business owners asking our government to listen—not people who showed up to write checks. The irony is that I invited BOTH of them to listen. Drazan called me. Kotek’s office never even responded. That’s the story I want people to know.” So once again, Kotek and her staff have lied to Oregonians. This wasn’t about “donors”-this was about hearing concerns. Something that Kotek can’t do because she would have to own up to her failures, there are many, and actually face Oregonians. If you’re a small business owner and you vote for Kotek then you are voting to seal your fate. If you want someone willing to listen and be available? Then Drazan is your candidate. I agree this is a big deal. That's why the Real Diehl is chiming in. 🙂 Oregon voters have been told for years that concerns about vote-by-mail are unfounded. Now Secretary of State Tobias Read wants more official drop boxes because he does not trust the Postal Service to get ballots from voters to county election officials on time. That is a chain-of-custody issue. Once a ballot leaves the voter’s hands, who has it, how it is transported, and when election officials receive it all matter. That is precisely the point election-integrity advocates have been making. The issue is not that every ballot traveling through the mail is compromised. The issue is whether Oregon’s election system should minimize the number of uncontrolled links between the voter and the official responsible for counting that ballot. Read’s solution - more secure, election-controlled drop boxes - implicitly concedes that the chain matters, and that there are vulnerabilities and weaknesses in that chain. Defenders will say this is only happening because of Trump. That answer gives the game away. If Oregon’s elections can be thrown into doubt by decisions in Washington, D.C., then a core part of our voting system has been handed to the federal government. A state that mails every ballot has chosen to make the U.S. Postal Service a link in the chain of custody. You cannot outsource that link and then pretend the chain is Oregon’s alone. Oregon should have an honest conversation about the vulnerabilities of vote-by-mail instead of dismissing anyone who raises them.

I would urge X to take another look at Kevin’s account. He does provide an extraordinary amount of first-hand coverage of the homeless & drug problem that Americans don’t get anywhere else. It would seem he fits the bill for the Creators Studio. Hopefully this will work out!
