Leo is suddenly the most popular boys’ name in EIGHT London boroughs. Presumably in response to the new pope. Evidence of a terrifying invasion of papists in our community?!
What are the commonest baby names in your borough? londonist.com/london/news/wh…

21% Muslim in London in 2021 census. Muslims comprise an estimated third of current births in London. In your lifetime they will be a majority. The new pope’s name won’t feature in the pop charts.

It's a folk reaction to the horrible new archbishopess of Canterbury.

My daughter taught in a Montessori school in the US (a wealthy suburb of Chicago) - she had 15 children in her 3-year-old class. Three boys in that class named Leo. It's very popular here.

Glad to see Wandsworth in that category. Years ago, my son started primary school in Wandsworth, and out of 37 kids in his class, 4 were white; out of 20 boys, 12 were named Mohammed/ Muhammad. He was bullied for eating “Muslim chicken”. We left London after 2 terms.

The pope is the second most famous Leo in the world so you’re safe I reckon. Might get invaded by the Argies though 😜

Q: apart from Muhammad and Ali, what other boys names exist in Islamic culture? And why aren’t they used? On Leo, is was popular before the pope so calm yourself.

Progressives are retards, they won’t learn or accept reality, just draw tenuous parallels in order to justify their toxic ideology. We need to just step over them.

It’s very interesting that you - and other media types- looked at this map and decided to talk about Leo and Catholicism red herring. Perhaps try again.

Naming you child after a Christian religious leader is most likely a coincidence. Mohamed not so much.....

It’s not that sudden though is it? Must have been top five if not top three for at least a decade? Many factors that make it a popular choice.
