This was the first time I had ever taken part in a demonstration like this for my country, Palestine. No one knew that I was from Gaza. I walked among the people and observed them, and that was one of the most beautiful things for me because I wanted to see them as they truly are, without their behavior being influenced by knowing that someone from Gaza was among them.
When I saw all these people, I felt and truly believed that humanity is still alive. I realized that there are so many people who genuinely want to change the world for the better. They want a world without wars—a beautiful and peaceful world, the kind of world that the people of Gaza, and every human being, deserve.
There is something I always say, and I want to say it to everyone who stands with us: Please keep going. Stay as you are, and don’t get tired or give up. The people of Gaza truly need your voices, and they need those voices to become louder, stronger, and reach further every time.
Our goal is for the voices of the people of Gaza to reach everywhere, and for the world to stand for people and for humanity. Standing for humanity today is a step toward a better world—a world where everyone can live in peace, safety, and dignity.
Seeing these people, especially during these difficult days, really gives me strength.
